Genealogy is my passion so when I add a memorial I try to find out vital info for that person.

Primary family surnames researching: Rice, Trainor, Marin, Berube, Heavner, Mick, Pritt

I have added memorials from some photographs I have taken, obituaries, death records/certificates found in public records and some cemetery listings and veterans records.

Please DO ASK for transfers.
I believe memorials belong to those who loved or know more about them than I. Their memorial will be better honored with your personal knowledge of them.
Will only refuse those I am related to.

Welcome corrections, additions and links to family members (not burial unknowns). Please use the edit tab.

My photos of GRAVES ONLY may be copied. I took them for you and anyone interested. Doesn't seem like voluntering to help others if you don't share and allow those that can't get to the grave to use them.
Personal photos I wish to be contacted for permission to copy so I know whose hands they are in.

Photo quality varies with light and weather. If you captured a better photo than mine and wish to post it, just let me know so I can delete mine.

Obituaries are copyrighted, so I won't post them but use info from them. I will ignore obituaries sent to me to post.

Unmarked graves sadden my heart.
An Irish poem that reminds us marking our loved ones final resting places is a special gift.
********************************************
ONE FINAL GIFT.

Scatter me not to the restless winds
Nor toss my ashes to the sea.
Remember now those years gone by
When loving gifts I gave to thee.
Remember now the happy times
The family ties are shared.
Don't leave my resting place unmarked
As though you never cared.
Deny me not one final gift
For all who came to see.
A simple lasting proof that says
I loved and you loved me.

In the event that I become inactive at findagrave for some reason, I would like all memorials I created at Shirley Village Cemetery, Shirley Center Cemetery, Shirley, MA. and North Village Cemetery, Lancaster, MA, to be transferred to findagrave member #48749977. She photographed these cemeteries and is the reason these memorials exist at findagrave.

Hi, I saw you added a record for Bridget Coomey, Find A Grave Memorial# 136828460. This is my Great Great Grandmother. How can I go about finding the actual grave at St. John's? Thank you!

RE: photo sizing
Thank you for letting me know about the sizing. After my next visit to a cemetery I will try and format them at a bigger size.

If you have a specific picture, and it was recent (within the last year or so), please give me the memorial number, etc., I might still have the full sized picture I took that day and can re-post it.

Linda~

His obit was in the Washington Post newspaper afterall. I saw it when I finally went to the library to look up some things.

Washington National Cemetery in Maryland! You know, that "big veteran's cemetery down there. Must be Arlington." Someone tried to get it right for their local Massachusetts paper. He wasn't eligible for Arlington, but why did he end up at this private cemetery? This is not administered by the V. A.

I made a memorial & links while I had the info handy. Do you want me to transfer it to you?

~Kay

Ann, her sister Lucy, and their mother, all appear in the records of Rural Cemetery. I've added a note to this effect and moved the girls; also requested a note on their mother's memorial. Then I'll delete my copy of the mother's memorial. Regards,

Carrie and Ira Mick - signed greeting cards
Hello, I was going through some old cards and found the names of Ira and Carrie Mick. They were sent to my parents in 1943 in Massachusetts to welcome my brother into the world. Since they were signed "Carrie and Ira Mick" I thought I would ask if you by any chance wanted these as a memento with their signature and a little note was added to one of the two cards. If interested, just let me know, otherwise I will throw them out. THANK YOU!
Sincerely, Barbara
