Please take note that any pictures taken as a request by myself will be used for my ancestry.com familytree. I started to really get into genealogy in about 2010. I utilize this as well as other websites. If I take a photo for you, you may do as you like with it.

I will be happy to transfer anyone to you that is not near and dear to my heart. Please tell me your relationship and if you are closer to the person that I am, I will transfer them to you. I have recently added veterans from Westchester, NY that are buried in Yonkers. Most of them are not related to me

Also, if you do not hear from me please right away, please resend your message in a few weeks. Like anyone else, I go through busy periods.

I have just found out that I need a person's contributer ID in order to transfer a person to them. Please include it with any messages for transfer that you send me.

"THE RECORDING OF A CEMETERY
BY THELMA GREENE REAGAN

Today we walked where others walked
On a lonely, windswept hill;
Today we talked where other cried
For Loved Ones whose lives are stilled.

Today our hearts were touched
By graves of tiny babies;
Snatched from the arms of loving kin,
In the heartbreak of the ages.

Today we saw where the grandparents lay
In the last sleep of their time;
Lying under the trees and clouds -
Their beds kissed by the sun and wind.

Today we wondered about an unmarked spot;
Who lies beneath this hollowed ground?
Was it a babe, child, young or old?
No indication could be found.

Today we saw where Mom and Dad lay.
We had been here once before
On a day we'd all like to forget,
But will remember forever more.

Today we recorded for kith and kin
The graves of ancestors past;
To be preserved for generations hence,
A record we hope will last.

Cherish it, my friend; preserve it, my friend,
For stones sometimes crumble to dust
And generations of folks yet to come
Will be grateful for your trust."

RE: Sylvester Kennedy
No, no - that's not nessasary. I have no connection to the family whatsoever. I was entering a memorial for a WW I veteran - Patrick Francis K., and just followed his trail where it led. I'll send you the other link.

I found the duplicate you were talking about. Since there are two listings the newest one needs to update the older one (add information or pictures). It seems that unless Williams wants the listing, which is fine with me, she needs to add the pictures to the 2010 listing.
Thanks
Sharon

RE: Krueger headstone photos
I was searching for my great, great grandfather Robert C. Wallace but I didn't find him, and still haven't. There are a bunch of Hotalings in Columbia county where I grew up.

RE: Mark Phillip Ferris
New York is one of those states that only allows headstone photos to be publicly displayed if the person is a family member or a family member gives permission. I am not related to Mark Ferris. If you are related, then you would be able to post to Ancestry.com.

RE: last name spelled two different ways
Thanks, the other entry is spelled wrong. I will let that contributor know that they duplicated my earlier record.
