I like walking through old graveyards and cemeteries and taking photos. It is a new found hobby of mine since getting into geneology. Looking for my fathers side of the family since other family have basically sewn up my moms side. Thanks for all the hard work Aunt Babs and cousin Carolyn. Anyway still trodding through alot of my moms moms side and learning alot about myself. |
If I take a photo of a family members grave stone you may copy and use it for your geneology or records of family research. It is meant for non-profit uses only though.
I have a new hobby---whenever I fulfill a photo request I will take a look around at the other headstones and take photos of interesting ones or in particular Veterns headstones. I will come home and check to see if they are posted and if not list a memorial for our beloved Veterns. I will leave flowers for each Vetern I make a memorial and the photo of his or her stone. Hopefully someday the family will find it posted here. If I have posted a memorial of a family member- I will gladly transfer to your care. Just let me know through the edit button or posting a comment. Don't forget to provide your contributor # with transfer requests. I will even consider transfers of non family members as long as they arent my family you are requesting. I have done alot of research in finding the burial locations of my family so I prefer to keep them in my possession.
Also please let me know if you find other family members with the same name buried next to ones that I request photos for. When I find them on requests I let the family know so that THEY may post the memorial. I then upload the picture to the memorial they created and saves the time of requesting transfers and such. If you are just interested in compiling numbers then please don't claim my request. I have had too many people get rude and down right mean when I ask to have my family member to be able to link up and add information or ask them to delete one that was already posted. There are alot of very nice folks that do alot of hard work for others through find a grave let's not spoil it by being thin skinned.

|Cleta Ruth (Stone) Sharp||RE: Crume family|
I live in Lubbock, Texas, which is 100 miles east of Clovis, New Mexico and Texico, New Mexico. Alice Josephine (Daniel) was my great- Grandmother. Her daughter Alma was my maternal grandmother. Alice is buried at Pleassant Hill Cemetery north of Clovis/Texico, New Mexico. My grandma took care of her in her late years, until her death. I have seen one picture of her and she was a short and small woman. I wish I had known her. My grandma was raised by her and was a wonderful woman and I am sure a reflection of her mama.
If ever this way please get in touch. My roots fascinate me. I have never got to go to Missouri where my grandma and her family came to New Mexico from. My grandma always wanted to return there to live but could not get any of her family to go with her and would not leave them. I wish so many times I had got her to record some of her memories.
Who was the Crume that you connected with for your information? I knew most of my grandma's siblings. Interesting finding you.
|Cleta Ruth (Stone) Sharp||Let me introduce myself.|
My name is Cleta Ruth (Stone) Sharp. My maternal grandma was Alma Mae (Crume) Davis and my maternal great grandmother was Alice Josephine (Daniel) Crume. I knew my grandma's family pretty well but never really had a chance to meet her mother.
I know my grandmother moved to New Mexico from Missouri with her family, because her sister had TB (consumption) and needed a dry climate. Grandma said she was about six years old and her older sister that was ill had children. I believe her husband's name was Berry. If you have questions I will try to let you know what I do of the Crume family.

Hi!I'm soooo sorry for just now getting to you message! I haven't been able to do much for quite awhile. I've been without a vehicle for 2-3 years, so I've been doing a lot of knitting for my grandkids and the NICU at Cox. Did you ever find Panther creek? It's actually in Fordland, the nextdoor small town to Rogersville. It's on KK hwy.
Again, I'm really sorry I've been inactive for so long. My parents both have alzheimer and can't drive now, so I have their car. If I can help with anything else, I'd love to be some kind of help.
I've really missed going out and taking pictures and adding what I can to the memorials for their families!
PS. I love your idea about taking the pics and making memorials for veterans. I was born on Guam... dad was in the Air Force and flew air Rescue during the Korean war. He retired from the Air Force around 1973 or so. Our oldest son was in the Army Reserves for awhile, and our second son is in the Navy...a "lifer". So you can see I have a heart for veterans, too. Thank you for what you're doing!

F.A.G. entry # 32578130
Hello, I would like to place a Sons of Revolution (SAR) marker on his grave. Your entry indicates that his grave is unmarked. Does that mean there is no marker or that the cemetery does not know where it is?

No worries. I'll have to find out where my wifes townsends came from I know they dallied around some in Louisiana and Texas but not sure before that.
Thanks for correcting it. Sorry I reported it before reading your profile. Your work especially for veterans is much appreciated.

I have done that twice and it did not work, also tried turning it upside down to see if it would go in right side up.dd
