|It's interesting and surprising to learn how much family lore has been shared or dropped between different branches of my relatives. There's enough mystery to last a lifetime.|
The Rules: Please abide by Findagrave's stated guidelines and common courtesy. I will not post full obituaries, names of living people (or anyone I suspect is still living), or any material I know to be under copyright. Please e-mail and ask permission if you'd like a copy of a photo you see on one of my pages, and I'll do the same for you.
I'm happy to transfer ownership of a page for anyone within 4 generations of you, unless they're also a direct ancestor within 4 generations of me. And even then it might be negotiable. Feel free to ask.
Drop me a line if you'd like to compare notes for ancestors with any of these names in your family: McClellan, Lewis, Alldredge, Richeson, Reddy, Curtis, Woodworth, Shrum, Dodge, Bresnen, Pancoast, Perry, Conlin, Alden, Brazier, Wilmot, Vivian, Reed, Edgill, Patchin, Kellogg, Dixon.

|Cheryl Ayres||Re: William Richard Lee|
I have added the information but with a slight correction, Stevenson is in Skamania Co. not Cowlitz Co. Checked the Washington State Archives & it is Skamania Co. plus I live in Cowlitz Co. & know that Stevenson is not in Cowlitz Co.

Thanks for the note. It occurred to me when I read it that Rocky Hill is probably the best place to search for Lydia. Their Library is called the Cora Belden Library and the cemetery is close by. Good luck!
|Jim C.||RE: Hawkins, Joan Clair Alden - death date.|
I am not related to Joan Hawkins. Her full death date can be found in two places. I spend a fair amount of time at the cemetery where she is buried. The death date is readily available in the cemetery records at their office. In addition, the full dates are listed in the California Death Index, 1940-1997, which is available at Ancestry.com. Both sources provided the same date. Thanks for your inquiry.

Well it was our pleasure to assist you in getting the picture. Take care out the in Oregon, I myself am a transplanted Californian.
|Gina Pocock||RE: Re: Arthur Joseph Godbout|
It is my pleasure. I was also quite amazed at what I learned. So many people died of that flu. I am still awaiting a better map of the cemetery, so perhaps I can find his headstone.
It would be nice to have a group of volunteers to work on revealing them!

|Larry Krueger||RE: Re: Dora O'Clair headstone photo.|
You are very welcome. Glad we could find her for you.
Actually it was nice for a change. Nights have been 29-31 degrees and days in the 40s but it was mid 60s today and shorts weather finally. LOL
|Beals||RE: Friendly, Samson - headstone request.|
Thanks for doing this photo. I understand there has been some vandalism in the past that is probably the reason why it is locked. I appreciate your willingness to schedule a visit.
Samson Friendly was an important part of Eugene and University of Oregon history. Nice to have him remembered with a memoriam. Mary

Mary's burial info came from contributor M. Cooley (#47154454), who also had a memorial for her. I copied his info, and requested he delete his, since mine was made previously, although I hadn't burial info at the time I made it.
Supposedly her remains were moved to this site from elswhere in Springfield as were her husband, Robert Ashley and others.
As for the birth date, I have heard this before, and have come to the conclusion that there is a mistake on the date, or confusion with another Mary.
