After looking at a 1931 plat book and finding my great grandfather John Pennel owned land near De Soto Wisconsin, that got me hooked on researching my family line.I finished my research and needed to do more,I love walking through cemeteries,so I decided to take pictures for other families. It's like finding treasure when I find a grave marker. The old cemeteries are the ones that I don't want forgotten. Some are in bad shape, and I try hard to get the name off the old stones. Sometimes I have to dig the grass that has grown over the old marker, when there is just a small piece showing. It's so rewarding when I find a name. When I read some of the letters it's like a puzzle to figure who it is. I love the challenge. On find a grave I meet relatives that I never knew and we work together researching our families. Find A Grave is a wonderful place. |
The families I have been working on for my husband, are: Berryman, Schwingle, Blabaum, Bartle, Paulson, Engen Hustad. My family Pennel, Hastings, Bates, Strong, Morris, Britting, Horn

I did not post the original picture of Peter. Does the fact that the picture is there prevent you from removing the his name from East Primrose?
It appears that Sylvia may not be deceased. I can find no record of her death in this area. If you believe she is deceased I can take a drive down there and check.

I did not locate the grave at the East Primrose cemetery. I have located it at the Old York Evangelical Cemetery in York Green County Wisconsin. York is very near the area of Primrose and New Glarus. All the info in the obit fits this person.

Nice catch! You are 100% correct. Violet was one of nine children born to Karen and Gunder Haugen. After the death of Harold Bennett she remarried.
I very much appreciate you taking the time to point out the error.

|Joy Hanel||Paulson-Hanel connection|
Lydia Hanel was one of Bruno & Edwin's sisters. She married William Dackins and they had a daughter Ann. Ann married George Paulson (1911-1967).
|Joy Hanel||RE: Hanel|
Edwin Carl Hanel was an uncle to my husband (Richard Allen Hanel), and a brother to Bruno Hanel.
They were 2 of 9 children born to Gottlieb and Anna Seppman Hanel (also spelled Seppmann). Many of that family, if not all, are buried at Minneopa.
