Bio and Links
Bio Photo After looking at a 1931 plat book and finding my great grandfather John Pennel owned land near De Soto Wisconsin, that got me hooked on researching my family line.I finished my research and needed to do more,I love walking through cemeteries,so I decided to take pictures for other families. It's like finding treasure when I find a grave marker. The old cemeteries are the ones that I don't want forgotten. Some are in bad shape, and I try hard to get the name off the old stones. Sometimes I have to dig the grass that has grown over the old marker, when there is just a small piece showing. It's so rewarding when I find a name. When I read some of the letters it's like a puzzle to figure who it is. I love the challenge. On find a grave I meet relatives that I never knew and we work together researching our families. Find A Grave is a wonderful place.
The families I have been working on for my husband, are: Berryman, Schwingle, Blabaum, Bartle, Paulson, Engen Hustad. My family Pennel, Hastings, Bates, Strong, Morris, Britting, Horn

Re: Julia Ann Blakley Drake
I don't understand, her birth year is 1850 on her memorial. I have her full birth with 1850 as her birth year.

RE: Millie Dahl
Sorry Cindy I got really busy with school.

If you have time in La Crosse - I have a family branch I cannot figure out. I would love to figure them out, if you are willing to help. It has to do with my Hanson family; one of my 2nd great grandpa's siblings and wife. I cannot figure out when either of one of them passed away.

I know by 1930 Hans, his wife and children moved from Westby to La Crosse after that I lose them for a while.

If you are willing to help, I can send you an email with all the dates I have.

Anna

I hope you had a great Thanksgiving

RE: Matilda Bates
As I understand it, Matilda Metz married an Alcorn? Did her daughter Matilda marry William Bates? They had a daughter Cora, (my great grandmother) that married Byron Wegener. They had a daughter, Thelma. She married Orville Mickelberg and had my father, Erwin Mickelberg.

Thank you so much for taking the photo of this headstone for me. His mother was my grandfather's
cousin and was her only child. She died at 25 yrs. I have been waiting a long time and am so glad you took the time to obtain the photo.
