Bio and Links
Bio Photo I'm a retired lawyer in Clarksdale, MS. I'm looking especially for my ancestors with the last names Dodson (MS and TN), Robinson(MS and TN), Davant (NC, GA and TX) and McNeill (MS & TX).

FAG states that "Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.... Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a management transfer request." Please state your relationship in any transfer request to me.

If anyone wants to use any of the photos that I post to find-a-grave for or whatever, you have my continuing permission.

I enjoy hearing from people about any of the people I have put up on find-a-grave and am happy to add links, obits, etc.

Grange Cemetery pics
I was wondering if you or someone in the area could take some tombstone pictures of a Matthew Webber Brown & we think his wife is probably buried there as well. Doing some research for someone to present as a gift to his wife for Christmas. ;-)

Charles Wesley Clark memorial
Hi Jack,
I am looking for the memorial of Charles Wesley Clark Jr. from Clarksdale, Mississippi, born 1912, died 2002.
I write you because it appears you have placed a photo of Charles Wesley Clark Jr.`s headstone on a memorial you created for another Charles Wesley Clark ( #67520217 ) at Grange Cemetery, Clarksdale, MS.
Thanks for the headstone photo and any information regarding where it was taken.

James Murray McNeill
Here is some additional info on James if you want to include it. His wife, Vernie Yarbrough, was my grandfather's sister. I cannot determine her place of burial so she does not have a Find A Grave memorial.

James Murray McNeill was a civil engineer and was married to Vernie Yarbrough in 1902 in McKinney, Collin Co., TX. She was 19 and he was 29. James died at age 55 of pulmonary tuberculosis.

Sam'l Clarke
By the way, Sarah Louise Eager who married Fincher Gist Bobo (1815-1856) married Samuel L H Clarke after Fincher died. She is also buried in Grange Cemetery as is one of her sons by Fincher, Robert Eager Bobo. Fincher is buried in Fredonia Cemetery in Panola County.

RE: Sam'l Clarke
Thanks so much Jack. I don't think Samuel had any grandchildren at least not that I know of. He had 2 sons, one died young (George) and the other married in 1875 but in the 1880 census he is alone and listed as a widower (Curtis B). I just don't know if Curtis remarried or if he had children because I can't find him after 1880. How nice for you to have the diary! Thanks again.

Sam'l Clarke
Thanks for the photo Jack, I really appreciate it.
May I point out that his last name is spelled with an 'e' on the end on the stone. Also I found a family bible listing at the DAR that says his name was Samuel Lee Hardy Clarke, and that his dob was 14 March. Clearly the gravestone says 11 March, so it could be either one! But it is nice to know that he is in fact buried in the Grange Cemetery and have a picture of the gravestone. Just wish I knew what happened to his children George and Curtis.
Thanks again,
