|I have researched family genealogy for more than 40 years. |
I think that findagrave is a wonderful resource, and most of its contributors are considerate of each other.

Hi Toni. I am so glad that you care enough to add so much to the Find A Grave site. Without your concern, others would not be able to find info they need. I have only discovered the resources online in the last month or so. I sincerely apologize if I have been too aggressive or not followed any known etiquette than is used by others. I was thrilled to be able to find a long mystery of 2 families by the same man that most were unaware of each other. In the discovery I added relatives info so that others could see the connection. However, the main key would be to find the grave of the first wife: Sarah Mary Marshall(1876-1910) No one on either side can find her grave. I noticed that you have been doing this for a long time, I am just a greenhorn and know next to nothing, And want to apologize if I've overstepped and asking for your help. AND what does having a transfer mean? Thank you in advance. Cheryl Zickefoose Schoolfield

You are welcome!

Your recent edit has been accepted and now appears on her memorial along with a courtesy tag in your name. Thank you for all you do with find a grave. Should you like a transfer please don't hesitate to ask because family and loved ones belong with family. always, Bren
I checked with Ginger Gentry whose farm the cemetery is located on. She said the headstone has been there for years & family members made her stone. The cemetery is known as the Brooklyn-Barksdale Cemetery. Her husband & her parents are buried within 3 miles of her burial site.
Sometimes the death dates don't match the stone-have seen that in my own family.
If you have anymore questions Ginger would be glad to help you. You can reach her by clicking on the flower she left on Nannie's memorial.

I descend from a brother of Elizabeth Pearce Slade, buried in West Liberty Cem. I am looking for the grave of her father, Thomas Pearce (died 1846). Do you have any thoughts on where it might be found? I notice there are several illegible stones to the right of the Slade graves. Does the church have any records of early interments?

Hi Tony, You sent a request on her. I think you were asking to change her death date. It is unclear what you are asking. A photo of her headstone is on the entry and it definitely reads:
Nov 17, 1910 as her death.
