Bio

At 62 years old and unemployed, I have just begun my genealogy quest about 6 months ago. I am finding the experience both fascinating and frustrating. Being unemployed, I have time to work on it, and I am finding an enormous amount of tools available. However, almost all of them cost money, which I don't have. I hope to make acquaintance with other members on this site (I just realized we do NOT have a flattering acronym!), in hopes to gain tips and tricks and the most economical way to start. If you read my profile and care to contribute knowledge, I would be ever so grateful and look forward to meeting you.

I live in SC, but was born in Texas, as were my parents. My father's family name is Gaddy and my mom's family name is Bogan, and I have been astonished to find both family names are abundant in the SC/NC area. Thus far, I have found no connection to either family, but am still looking.
