Lashers in Evergreen

The cemetery register shows the following burials in C185: Lizzie Carey, Daniel Conkey, Mary Conkey, William J. Lasher, Walter J. Lasher, Anna E. Lasher, Leroy Lasher. Anna E. Lasher and Leroy were the only stones found.

In C187 the burials listed are: Anna M. Lasher, William P. Clark, Cornelia Clark, Eugene R. Heath, Anna C. Heath, Infant Heath. There are stones for all of these people.

I posted a photo of the Lasher/Heath/Clark plots. There a stone to the left which reads only "Our Baby" on top and it is possible this stone is on C185 which would make it for Lizzie Carey. I will be posting photos for the Heaths and Clarks if they are not already done.

RE: Cathryn Gross

I am so sorry! I always put up the "view" photo first and then add the actual headstone photo because that makes the headstone photo end up on top. In this case, I added the "view" photo and went on my merry way, forgetting to add the other photo. Yes, her husband is there as you will see. If you want to create a separate Memorial for him, I'll put both photos on that.

Once again, my apologies!

RE: Lasher
OK, I have all of these names on my list and will look for them. There's a photo request out for someone else on A5--Ulysses Dillon--and the register also shows an infant Doner buried there. Are they perhaps relatives and more pieces of your puzzle? Also, I just happened to notice that there are 2 young children named Lizzie Carey on the cemetery register. One is on B153 with Carrie Carey(perhaps the overturned stone?) with no parents shown and one is on C185 with William James Lasher and is shown as the daughter of E. R. and Carrie. Confusing!

RE: Carey
I haven't photographed Anna Mabel's or Leroy's stones yet as the lighting was so poor that day that I couldn't read the stones beyond their names. I will be sure to do them on my next trip to Evergreen soon. I thought perhaps the overturned stone was Lizzie. If I recall correctly, that base is tilted so even if someone were to set the stone back up, it might not stay upright very long. According to the cemetery register at:
Henry and Edwin were both sons of Clark and Ruth. (Perhaps you have seen it already.)

RE: Carrie Lasher
had a time finding it but finally was successful. I am trying to connect Carrie to my wife's Lasher side, but no luck there yet.

RE: Carey
You are very welcome. I'm still looking for William and Anna Lasher. I found Anna E. Conkey Lasher, Leroy Lasher and stone on which I could read only "Mabel" that day. Any chance Anna M. Lasher is Mabel? I will look again.
