Bio and Links
Bio Photo I welcome information or a correction to a memorial.

Use the white Edit tab at right top of the memorial, then the "Suggestion email..." even if you have a question about a memorial. I can look at it and know exactly who and what you are writing about without entering names, and memorial numbers, to look it up.

I usually don't edit or check the info sent to me to be sure it is accurate, nor do I act as judge and jury over whether to add it. If I see an obvious error, then I'll ask, or check. You should check it if you doubt it.

On memorials I contribute, I try to check the state and other records to assure it is accurate, but still I make mistakes.

I will transfer a memorial if you are a relative, but I'd expect you to transfer if someone else asks you and they are closer kin.

I honor veterans (all wars) with a flag, or floral tribute, especially if they don't have one

My Family names I research: Vance/Sinclair, Yarbrough/Ellis/Young, Montgomery/Posey, Barnett/ Reynolds; Yandell/Sparks, Lee/Durham, Ward, Powell/Weaver.

With the "new edit" method, I don't always write a 'thank-you' nor do I expect one. We all have plenty to do to keep up. BUT, be assured that I do APPRECIATE any addition/correction, or PHOTO REQUEST you fulfil for me. Please accept this as my thanks for your efforts.

RE: Stubblefield Cem., Hughes Co. OK
I'm pretty sure I remember where this cemetery is - out in the middle of nowhere!

On 270, between Horn Town and Holdenville, there is a house with a tall flagpole and flag in the yard. Turn south on the dirt road by that house - 376 Road.

Follow that road for a couple of miles and it will curve sharply to the left - turn right at that curve and follow the road up to the cemetery.

Good luck!

Sheldon Smith
You left a flower on the memorial for Bliss Smith who is buried in Saratoga Co., NY, wondering if he was the father of Sheldon Smith. His Wilis on line at, and Sheldon is not among the names of his children: Elias Smith, Newland Smith, Lansing Smith, Lyman Sith, William Smith, Matilda Risden, Dorcas Smith and Sarah H. Smith. The will indicates these are his "only heirs and next of kin.
I, too, am looking for a different Bliss Smith and happened to search further into this one.

RE: Locie M. Ritchey, PA 153488387
I updated her memorial with her information, thanks. I wish I could recall where I got her information, I think this is one of a group of headstones I had taken photos of, added the info into Findagrave, then accidentally deleted the photos before uploading them....which makes me mad. I am going to have to go back through this section to see if I can find her headstone to get a photo, although it's also possible she has no stone and I entered her from another bit of info I came across somewhere.

Hello Winnie,

Thanks for the note. I had not written anything about him being a minister as I was not sure what denomination he was but you have now cleared that up for me. Thanks!!!
