I have a question regarding this memorial #34807786
John Henry Smith (my ancestor).
Do you know or remember if there was a gravestone for Margaret Smith (his mother) nearby?
I do not find one for her in the search.
Please disregard my SAC ref Samuel/Clara Mary Gibson (maiden name of Long). I have yet to verify this..I thought it was the person I was thinking of, but now I am not sure it's the same spouse! Thank you!

Hi! Three photos posted.
Melva M. Hartshorn, 1923 - ? (still living?)
If she has passed and you create the memorial, if one does not already exist, and add the photo request, I will post the photos that I took of her grave.

Thank you so much for taking the photos of our "Wanting" family members.
We appreciate it!
|Ellen Stohr||Comforts at St Mary's|
I was surprised and excited to see that you posted a photo of the Comforts in St Mary's . They are my great grandparents and their children. I am afraid, however, that this photo is of the wrong Comfort family. I have never known of there to be a Patrick or a John, and "Mother" in my family would have been Ellen Jane, born in 1863 England. I have spoken to people at the Streator Genealogy Society , and they have told me that MY Comfort family is in Blk 2, Lot 49, and that there are no headstones there. A son lost in WWI DOES have a headstone there. He was PVT William "Willie" John Comfort who died the day WWI ended in 1918. I have a photo of that stone, and a obit from the Streator Free Press. He was the first Marine to die from Streator. So, as much as I'd like to believe these are my family, I am pretty sure they are not. If you find I am in error, please let me know. I appreciate anything I can find !

Hi Tim, You are Very Welcome. I Took 354 other photos while I was there. I ran out of time, so I didn't get every stone. Maybe I will finish it in the spring. If you have any other family in Perry, I'm going to start posting my photos tonight. Take Care, Chuck Brandon.
