Doing genealogy since about 1996. Am interested in helping others find the burial place of their ancestors because others have done so much for me. Walking through cemeteries can be peaceful and the exercise is a gooood thing (hehe). Any photo I take may be copied for any purpose though I would like some credit (I guess a little ego is permissable?! hehe) | |

 | RE: Rodphey Sholom Cemetery/Levitz No problem with posting the photo in your tree. Once the unveiling occurs later this year, I'll post a photo of the gravestone. | | | Kelly Vaughn

 | RE: Find A Grave Memorial# 48267120 Sorry, it was a typo on my part. Birth year is 1828. I have corrected the memorial on the site. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

 | RE: Find A Grave Memorial# 58420013 Sharon,
I have written a note to Kevin Frankenfield who put the tombstone pictue on Valantin Unangst's memorial. There are two Valentin(e) Unangst in this cemetery. Probably cousins. This photo belongs to the other Valentine Unangst. I added his memorial to the cemetery and hopefully Kevin will move it to the right Valentine Unangst.

 | RE: Whatley Daniel You are welcome [pic]
I am glad Ancestry has helped you with your family search. I cannot say the same. When the try it for free came around, we did, and could not find very much information. The frustration came in when trying to search for a specific person in a specific area during a specific time and receiving 6,000 hits, sometimes more. I just found it to be a pain to work with and easier to find information in the genealogy department at our local library.
Most of the information that we did find for our family on Ancestry was from individuals who put a family tree out there without verifying the information first. Because we had taken the time to verify our family information, we knew it was incorrect. However, to an unsuspecting individual who does not, or will not take the time to verify the records, he or she unwittingly helps to perpetuate false information. . .a viscous cycle. As far as I know, Ancestry does not police the information they receive and it is posted as is for those who are willing to pay the price.
One positive note for Ancestry is that they do have copies of official census records, cannot falsify those. . .however, here again, it is for those who are willing to pay the price
Anyway, I am glad you have found Ancestry useful and again you are welcome [pic]

 | RE: Daniel Whatley b 1744 Sorry for the delayed response
Your question: With your permission, I'd like to post the pictures you took of Daniel's grave on my family tree on ancestry.com. With full credit of course. . .
You may use our photo, giving us full credit, leaving the copyright mark in place on the photo, and agreeing not to use the photo for profit of any type.
I am not very fond of Ancestry, due to the fact that they wanted my family research, which took me years of work/research to accumulate, and in return would charge me a monthly/yearly fee to access my own information.
I'm glad you like our photography work/play ;-) it is something we enjoy doing

 | RE: Weitzel # 53290907 No, it just means I haven't gone in and made the changes to the dates. If there was only a year shown in a date, the program I used automatically put Jan 1 in, instead of leaving it blank. Sigh. So I have been having to go back and manually make the changes :) If you are related to any of these Weitzels I'd be glad to send them your way.
