I started researching my family roots on my mother's side in Aug 2010 after seeing a small family tree about this side of my family that I knew little about. I soon became hooked on genealogy research! |
I found Find a Grave Oct 2011 and now I'm getting hooked on Find A Grave! Most weekends will find me photographing in one of the many cemeteries near by. I don't know how long this latest addiction will last, but for now I am loving exploring and photographing.
So much so, that I'm lagging behind in getting photos uploaded. If I've created a memorial though it means I do have a photo and plan to upload it as time permits. Please ask if you don't see a photo for a memorial you're interested in and I'll be glad to upload it right away!
VOLUNTEER PHOTO NOTES: The photos that I take of memorials are yours, they are for you. You do not need to ask my permission to use them.

Thanks again for your time and effort sue. I do appreciate it! God bless
Oh goodness, I'm sorry, that would be useful information! She is buried in Saint Peters Lutheran Cemetery in Wisconsin.
Thank you so much!

I really, really appreciate you posting a photo of Anders Jensen's headstone. I saw that you said you have some others not yet uploaded, I was curious if you have Ida Jensen's as well (it should be next to Anders's)?
Thank you so much for doing this. You have no idea how much I appreciate it.

Hi Sue - Thanks for taking and sharing the photos of the Andersen headstones. Eva Andersen's headstone is quite legible, but William's is a bit shaded. Please don't make a special trip for a new shot. Anytime you are at the cemetery taking other shots would be just fine. Your efforts are greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately, I don't know if it was cremation or full burial. Her obituary just stated "Burial will be at Balsam Lake Cemetery." I believe her husband, Donald N. Blaisdell (1906-1969), might share a plot or close by. They do have a son, Dougal D "Duke" Blaisdell (1935-2011) that is also buried in Balsam Lake Cemetery as well. I wish I had more information for you and I do appreciate your help! --Vicky

Thanks for the headstone photo of Edna. I had totally forgotten about it. She was a Stenberg which I'd guess the "S" is for in her name.
|Joyce Porter||RE: Hendrickson's|
I didn't realize there were Hendrickson's living in the Dresser area that weren't related to me. My Dad and 5 siblings were born on a farm outside of Dresser. They are all buried in other cemeteries in Polk county except for one that is buried in MI. None of the Hendrickson's from St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery are my relatives. I did find Guy & Augusta Clark that I had known. They were my uncle's in-laws. His wife and I had done a lot of comparing on genealogy so I did have some extra information to send to you about that couple. Thanks for letting me know. You have done a lot of wonderful work in the various cemeteries.

Thanks very much. I look forward to seeing the pictures.
