Hi there fellow seekers,|
Happy Birthday America
Hi all, I am now retired; once again.
I've found a lot of new information out that I didn't know before thanks to the new documents that Ancestry is adding.
I'm off next week to NC to visit my g-daughter, her husband and two great g-children. While in NC I'm hoping to get to the Maney Cemetery to take photos. Then on to George to Sunrise Cemetery for more photos and hopefully meet up with distant cousins Myrtle Beach in SC to gather sand for my granddaughters memorial box, and then on to New Orleans to try to find James Morris burial location.
My daughter Robin will be doing the driving this trip, she lives in Texas so after LA it's on to Texas. After a rest I'm hoping to get up to Arkansas to visit family.
Life is good!
I'd like to extend to each of you the invitation to use the information that I have placed out on Find a Grave without getting my prior permission to do so. If you would like you can add the link to the memorial so that other fellow seekers can know where you got your information. Plus if a memorial is linked it makes looking for family members easier.
Your Sister in Christ,
Dona (Carr) Mooring

Thank you for typing the obiturary notice for Phebe Smith. I have deleted the newspaper photo, and her memorial is much more pleasing.
God Bless you,

Thank you for that great information !! It has all been added to her memorial.

I see that you have most of the Carr Family memorials in Bellefontaine Cemetery in St Louis, Missouri. Alice is buried next to Henry and was buried in 1936 with no personal marker. Would u have any further information on her?
Thanks for any help
That was my first time to visit Stanford Chapel Cemetery; such a lovely place. I will visit again soon and will look around more. I drove past it so many times when we lived in Lorena, on my way to Hewitt. It's just been the last 3 years that I've become interested in researching and photographing cemeteries. In edition to FindAGrave, I belong to two Facebook groups, Texas Historic Cemeteries and Cemetery Explorers (world wide cemetery group). We just share photographs we've taken and history we have learned. I will return to Stanford Chapel Cemetery and investigate more! It amazes me that the area was once called Stanford Chapel Community, centered around a Methodist Church! Such a lovely area; I'm sure some of the old trees could tell me wonderful stories if they could only talk!

Dona, I visited Stanford Chapel, McLennan County, Texas on August 10, 2016. I looked all around Alice Huddleston's gravestone. The back and sides were smooth with no writing. I looked at their son's gravestone also; both were smooth with no other writing. The graves sit very close to a plot curb. The graves in the plot appear newer so I assume the Huddleston's were buried there first. Also, a gravel road sits just at the foot of their graves. I did not see a gravestone for Lula Huddleston Short. There is space beside them where others could be buried, but there are no signs that someone is buried there. I wish I had good news; however, it doesn't mean they are not buried there. But there are no gravestones.

Yes you may use my photos; but I do require that you source me as photographer and Find a Grave as their original location.
Thank you so much for being so considerate and asking permission...
