Jenny - thank you for the excellent marker photo. Always sad to see that the stone is not complete with year of death. I noticed that you photographed the matching stone. Were they side by side?

Thanks so much for the photo. As much as I can tell, George was a brother to my great grandmother, Mary Malinda Bender Tuttle. I'm not sure who Hugh might be. The children of David and Rachael Bender were: Michael, Catherine, Elmira, Sarah, George, Mary Malinda and Samuel. How or why Mary ended up in Indiana is a mystery. It was my understanding that the Benders had a business - I think lumber - here in Indy, but I'm not real sure. Great grandma was a Quaker and small in stature. I have one picture of her which I posted on Find A Grave.
I'm not discounting Hugh as a sibling of George's - I just don't know at this point.
