Hi there fellow seekers,|
Happy Birthday America
Hi all, I am now retired; once again.
I've found a lot of new information out that I didn't know before thanks to the new documents that Ancestry is adding.
I'm off next week to NC to visit my g-daughter, her husband and two great g-children. While in NC I'm hoping to get to the Maney Cemetery to take photos. Then on to George to Sunrise Cemetery for more photos and hopefully meet up with distant cousins Myrtle Beach in SC to gather sand for my granddaughters memorial box, and then on to New Orleans to try to find James Morris burial location.
My daughter Robin will be doing the driving this trip, she lives in Texas so after LA it's on to Texas. After a rest I'm hoping to get up to Arkansas to visit family.
Life is good!
I'd like to extend to each of you the invitation to use the information that I have placed out on Find a Grave without getting my prior permission to do so. If you would like you can add the link to the memorial so that other fellow seekers can know where you got your information. Plus if a memorial is linked it makes looking for family members easier.
Your Sister in Christ,
Dona (Carr) Mooring

You are most welcome for the photos, I greatly enjoyed spending time at the looking for my first "Find A Grave" to photograph. Now as it turns out, it was my second as well!
I've added the pictures to 160748991 as well, with the exception of one - which didn't show her name at all.
Have a wonderful day,

Donna, I am asking that you remove the name Elizabeth from the transcript of her death certificate in the body of her bio. I imagine "Elizabeth" was just entered unconsciously. Your brain was thinking Bettie, but you fingers typed Elizabeth. You have her name correct on the heading on her memorial. Just the death certificate transcription needs to be change. Thank you!

I have been trying to send this on the edit form but waited 5 minutes for the ads to stop running so I could type the edit. So here we go:
You have that Bettie's name on her death certificate was Elizabeth. Take another look, it does not. I have never found the name Elizabeth for Bettie in any documents. Always just Bettie.

You answered many question by your kind response, yes you are correct, Bridget O'Hara Cane/Karr is the mother of Mary Carr Mchugh. Bridget first married James O'Hara then remarried Miles Carr. Any information I have, i will be more than happy to share with you. Thank you so much

How do you know that Elizabeth Young Savage was the daughter of Elijah and Sarah Young of Wake Co., North Carolina? They did have a daughter Elizabeth born about 1837, but as far as I can tell, she never married and died between the 1860 and 1870 censuses. I realize that there are a number of online family trees that say she was the daughter of Elijah and Sarah, but those family trees don't have any documentation. Because Ancestry and FamilySearch are now linking to Find a Grave, it is important to have accurate, documented information on the memorials.
