I have been very successful in filling in the sides of my family which previously had little documentation. I would love to help anyone I can assist with the information I have been able to ascertain. This is the reason I have made virtual cemeteries and am adding biographies to the memorials. I would also appreciate any information others might have and are willing to share, especially if I have some incorrect information.

RE: Philip Phillip) Hart
Sally,
Just looking at mssgs. I've rcvd and saw yours.
Did I ever get back to you re; Phillip Hart?
If not, I apologize. I did spend some time looking for an answer and followed a twisted trail.
The answer is no one I've found knows today.
My hunch is his burial place was probably on the NE edge of Spencer. A number or celebrated families lived on that land as the years passed. A beautiful mansion was built, successive purchasers planned to restore it as years passed. Eventually a medical device manufacturer purchased the land and that was the end of family ownership.
Sad story, but the best information I can find.

Sally,
I wanted to let you know that I have posted and linked Reese to his parents, Silas & Rebecca Jones.
I hope that this will assist you in your genealogy.

Thank you so much for maintaining his memorial page. Jacob was my 4x great grandpa. This is honestly the only thing I've found of him except for in the Naftzger Heritage News pages. Was curious though, do you have any more information on him you'd be willing to share? Anything at all would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
Tammy Faye Noftsger

Are you related to Joseph Edgar Weeks? I am working on this family and have hit a dead end in Prince Edward Island.

RE: Philip Phillip) Hart
Sally & Bob,
Haven't heard back from you recently on my notes.
Assume you are not interested in further information on Phillp Hart and succeeding owners of his property. Thanks for the question about his family grave site. From the 1936 article it appears it was probably destroyed by home development or farming.

RE: Philip Phillip) Hart
Sally,
Did you get a chance to look at the two volume's of Owen County History? If so you know there are many references to Phillip Hart.
I took a quick look at Findagrave and two such names are listed, one in 1866 the other 1871. I'm sure too young for your man.
I'll continue to scan the references for your Phillip and see if they say in the local histories.
Otherwise, still happy to check the next time I go to Spencer.

RE: Philip Phillip) Hart
Sally,
Sorry, I don't know Phillip Hart's burial location.
However, I'm on a first name basis with the genealogy librarian, and only live about 10 miles north of Spencer. I'll be happy to check for you the next time I'm in Spencer.
In the meantime, I'll check a website you need to know about. It is called Sweet Owen and surrounding areas. The Owner is Debbie Jennings. Debbie and I are distantly related on my mother's mother's side of the family. Debbie started 15 years ago, collecting information on Owen Co., IN and gradually expanded it to most of the surrounding counties. She has cemeteries included on her site.
I'll check and get back to you either way.

RE: Dr. Mathew M. Jones
Sally,
OK, so you are related. Got a big question for you.
If you know Jay Jones, he and I have corresponded for several years. M.M. Jones was the husband of E.J. Dean Jones. She was an older sister of my GG grandfather Wm. H. Dean.
Between Jay and myself, I think we've plowed the ground pretty thoroughly, but still have one "family jewel" to discover.
E.J. Dean Jones obit stated she kept a journal her entire life, and wrote a lengthy story on her parents lives.
Needless to say, I would dearly love to find that story. I'm currently working with the Howard Co., genealogist to see if she can find what Jay and I have yet to discover.
Any ideas?
Mike
