We have noticed that some people load photographs on Find-A-Grave and post a message saying they are not to be used without permission. PLEASE use the photos we submit if you'd like! That's why we put them on here!! |
This whole thing got started with her making a comment that she knew nothing about her family. It has now gotten TOTALLY out of hand!! We have now surveyed every accessable cemetery in Harrison and Mercer County, Missouri and researched those that are not accessable. Now we're starting to photograph them. We have submitted the surveys and photographs to the county GenWeb sites.
We enjoy tracing the "roots" and various limbs of our family trees, and are often surprised at the nuts that fall out! She seems to be related to EVERYONE. Him...not so much. We also enjoy helping others in their search! So if you have connections in either of these counties and have requests for cemetery photographs or obituaries, please let us know. We're not professionals, but we're not too bad at it!!
If we "manage" a memorial you are interested in or are related to, we'd be more than happy to transfer it to you! The exception would be if it were one of our own close relatives, then we'll probably decline the request.

|Dhermann||John Jacob Hoover - add child|
John Jacob Hoover was my great grandfather. My grandfather, Walter Verne Hoover is not listed as one of the children. How can I add him to the list for both John Jacob Hoover and Margaret Elizabeth Hoover? See Memorial # 21189025

You're very welcome!
|Scrib & Barb Kelly||Joseph R Swope|
Thank you so much for the wonderful photo of the headstone for Joseph R Swope, especially because it may be covered by grass many years from now! We are remembering all our Veteran "Civil War" family ancestors that died to young.
Your time and effort is very much appreciated by our family.

Thank you for the photo! I really appreciate all of your original efforts in taking them, but also for re-submitting them on this site even though you've done so much for genweb previously. I'm working on a lot of family links and your work has been invaluable! Sorry for all of the trickling in edits and link requests. I only ask for them after a lot of research. You've been great!

"Would you please connect and/or delete the one you have. Not sure why, but she is buried under the name Dale."
I've referenced your memorial on the Rachel (Dale) Bull memorial. This way anyone doing a search for Rachel Bull will find your memorial also. I've deleted all family "links" from my memorial.
Thanks for the way you handled this.

|Wally S.||Buntins & Morrow|
Wanted to thank you for the photos of Robert's & Susanna's marker and also for Franklin Morrow's marker photo. The work you two have done and continue to do, both in creating, maintaining, and improving Find A Grave memorials, and in taking and documenting the many thousands of grave marker photos, is an incalculable benefit for all who now have the opportunity to learn more about their ancestors because of what you have done.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

|Debra Fox||RE: Marriage records|
So sorry to hear of your back troubles, that is never any fun!! I am well thank you.
I took a photo of a genealogy page and I did misread it.
When you say genealogy library is that something only accessed by physically looking through records? There is no hurry for my request when you are there is soon enough.
Thank you for responding so quickly and I wish you a speedy recovery!!!

Hi Phil and Kathi
You were kind enough to send pic of Sarah E Dillon's headstone from Glaze Cemetery Mo. to me a few years ago.
I happen to see on a genelogy page you have 4 marriage record books from Harrison Co. Mo.
My Sarah E and John M Merrifield lived between Cypress Harrison Co in 1870 census and Clay Harrison in the 1880 census.
I wonder if you have time would you mind looking them up for me?
Their first child was born Dec 1874 and John lived with his father in 1870 census so in between those years would be the marriage.
|Casey Harvey||RE: Harvey...Gotta Ask!|
Yes, my last name is Harvey. I am descended of Benjamin Harvey's brother, Joshua Calvin Harvey Sr. (4th great grandfather) and his wife Sally Swope. Their descendants moved into Mercer County, WV.
I initially went to the cemetery in search of our mutual many great-grandfather John Harvey's headstone, but I believe his is either marked by a fieldstone or is in another cemetery. Do you happen to know what records led you to believe that Benjamin Harvey was buried in the Harvey Cemetery at Red Sulphur Springs?
