Please use the SAC function (edit button on memorial) to request transfers, and be sure to let me know specifically how you are related.|
I volunteer at Oakland Cemetery in Atlanta, and am working on photo-documenting the whole cemetery. At this point, I prefer not to transfer memorials for this cemetery (other than mandatory transfers, of course) because my research is ongoing. In the meantime, please feel free to send me as much additional info as you wish via the edit button on the memorial.
NOTE: Obituaries are a wonderful source of information, but findagrave has rules about how they may be used. You can always glean facts from them for the bio. If they are out of copyright, or if you hold the copyright, you can transcribe them. Regardless of who has the copyright, you are not supposed to post them as a photograph - regardless of whether you scanned it, took a screen shot, or downloaded it from another website. Please feel free to send me obit text via the edit function, and I will use the info to add to the bio. Obits posted as photos will be removed, and it just ends up wasting your time.

Could you please send corrections via the suggest additional edits? I prefer to keep public messages to not be about corrections. Please delete this message after you've read it. I would normally send to someone's email.

I am confused as to this individual (doesn't take much to confuse me). I thought the marker at your site was perhaps only a memorial.
I thought the parents of Cecil Edward Pruitt were the following:
Cecil C.M. Pruitt Find A Grave: # 148770514
Sara Lucy Pruitt Find A Grave: # 148770530
Thanks for any clarification you have for me.

You didn't miss anything...perfect. Thank you so much for your time on this and all of your memorials that are helping 10,000 plus families visit and view tombstone photos of their loved ones.
Gratefully, Brenda Beatty McGaw

I was getting ready to link Elizabeth Lowe to her parents when I noticed you show her as the daughter of Mary Bradford and William Pruett. William and Mary did have a daughter Elizabeth but she was living with her sister Nancy Pruitt Brand and family in the 1880 Bay Creek, Gwinnett, Georgia census. She was 35 years old and single. Hugh D. Lowe was married to my Elizabeth Duncan Lowe in 1873.
This Elizabeth, as seen on her tombstone, is the wife of Hugh D. Lowe. She is the daughter of Thomas Emmett Duncan and Martha McCune Duncan. This is their marriage record:
Georgia, Marriage Records, 1828-1978
Name: Elizabeth Duncan
Marriage Date: 7 Oct 1873
Marriage Place: Gwinnett, Georgia
Spouse: Hugh D Lowe
Name: Elizabeth Duncan Lowe
Birth: 1840 South Carolina
Death: Feb 27, 1918 Lawrenceville, Georgia
Spouse: Hugh D. Lowe
Father: Thomas Emmett Duncan Find A Grave# 154647269
Mother: Martha McCune Duncan Find A Grave# 154644744
Please let me know what I should do or if you need more information to remove Mary and William Pruitt as her parents and link Thomas and Martha McCune Duncan.

I guess I should have used the name on the headstone. Carolina Siefert (maiden name is Gutekunst)

Are you related to the Gutekunst family. I have been looking for relatives. John Martin is my 2nd Great Grandfather. I have more info on Carrie and the family if you want it.
