I'm from Minneapolis, MN and have lived in this area all my life. I'm a proud veteran and spent 3 years in the army and I served two tours of duty in Viet Nam, (late 1969-1972.) I was wounded twice. I was assigned to The First Cavalry Division and was in the infantry and then a combat engineer & operated a bulldozer & later I was assigned to aviation and was a crew chief/door gunner on a UH-1 Huey helicopter. I'm a recipient of the Bronze Star, two Purple Hearts, two Air Medals, two Commendation Medals, Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Aircraft Crewman Wings, & a Marksman Rifle Medal. I'm a former local truck driver of 35 years and a former part time fire photographer for seven years. I was forced to retire in 2004 due to back problems. Now I spend time listing interments. I'm registered here as a photo volunteer. I fill the photo requests for Fort Snelling National Cemetery. If you see ANY FT. Snelling memorials with a mistake or missing plots & sections or need a spouse/parents links added please let me know and I will get it corrected or updated. I do appreciate you visiting Aaron's memorial and for all of your kind words. Thank you so much. It has helped a lot with the passing of my beloved Aaron. Aaron was a blessing and I miss him so much. If you see anything that I have submitted that needs correction, please let me know. I will be happy to correct it.

 | Joseph Morey Hi, Steve,
Thank you, first, for your service to our country.
Thank you, second, for the photo of Joseph Morey's marker at Ft. Snelling. I really appreciate all of the work you do to honor our veterans, and assist their families in being able to see their markers.
Take care.

 | Appreciative Wow! You were so quick in fulfilling my request for a photo of Joette Frisco's headstone at Ft. Snelling! And can I say what an amazing photo it is, crisp with wonderful color. Do you do any editing before uploading? Some of my images tend to look 'washed out' and I love how you always have such great tone in your images. Thank you again and I hope the weather was agreeable with your day of 'Graveyarding' (term I say just recently that fits our addiction here). Warmly, Helen Murphy, TennesseeAdded by Helen on May 06, 2013 4:43 PM | | | | [View all messages...] |
