A cemetery is not a place just to bury the dead. It should be a sacred place for quiet reflection, peace, tranquility, honor, and remembrance. It is a history of people and a perpetual record of yesterday.|
Love begins with a smile...grows with a kiss...and ends with a teardrop....
I will not use chalk, shaving cream, or any other potentially harmful methods to enhance the inscriptions. Please do not use these on any photo requests I make, Thank You.
Although FINDAGRAVE can be very useful for genealogy, FINDAGRAVE as the name implies is a grave registration site NOT a genealogy site.
I will NOT add a link to a burial unknown memorial. This site is named Find a GRAVE for a reason. Not a difficult concept.
Please do not request to add a birth date calculated from the gravestone, unless the complete age is known or listed (y/m/d). Dates that do not agree with the gravestone will be placed in the bio section. Thank You.

|Debbie Hadley||Olcotts in Maple Shade Cemetery|
I'm trying to figure out a discrepancy. I am related to a family with the surname Olcott. You have created several memorials for Olcott family members in the Maple Shade Cemetery in Ridgefield, CT. I have found burial records for these same individuals at Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn, NY, and have visited and photographed their headstones there. So, I don't believe they are actually interred at Maple Shade Cemetery, and I am wondering where you found this information. If you prefer to message me privately by email, I would truly appreciate your time in helping me with this.

That is really cool! I'm trying to find an actual copy of the book Genealogies of Connecticut Families. There is a lot of information regarding the Dibbles in my line.

Just a note to say thank you very much for the very nice photo of the grave stone for James E Belger. I will be adding it to my family tree on ancestry.

Thank you for the photo

Regarding the broken marker I am assuming it was there in 2008 or I would not have listed his marker. I can't say its still there today or not as I have not been to that cemetery for years.
