I believe I am distantly realted, but it is based on an unproven theory about Mary "Polly" (Brown) Thorp's parentage.

Census records (Warrensville, Cuyahoga, Ohio). 1850 Census lists birthplace as Ireland for Martha and John, as well as their children Alexander, Grames (Graham), John, Samuel and Ann, but daughter Nancy Jane was born in Ohio. 1860 Census has John as born in Ireland, living with 2nd wife and his children Samuel, Ann, and Nancy Jane (all born in Ireland except last.) 1870 Census lists John with 2nd wife, both born in ireland.
