Bio Photo THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR VISITS!
I was born & raised in Ironton,Ohio. I now reside in Corbin,Ky. Virgil was my only child. Tony Thibodaux set his Memorial up. He's related on my husbands side of the family. My world revolved around Virgil. He was married & a father of a wonderfull little boy. My hobbies are Wheres George. When I hugged Virgil by that time I never dreamed of it being the last hug he would ever give me.
I DID NOT TAKE THE OATH
I DID NOT TAKE THE OATH;I DID NOT RAISE MY HAND.
ALL I DID WAS HAVE A CHILD WHO GREW TO BE THAT MAN.
HE DID HIS JOB WITH HONOR.
HE WAS NOT AFRAID TO FIGHT;HE WAS NOT AFRAID TO DIE.
THE BABY I HELD IN MY ARMS,THE BOY WHO BECAME A MAN,HE PUT HIMSELF IN DANGER.
HE SAID NOT TO WORRY;HE SAID,"I WILL COME HOME."
THOSE WORDS COME BACK TO HAUNT ME...SPOKEN OVER A PHONE.
THE KNOCK ON THE DOOR IS ALWAYS JUST A MOMENT AGO;THE TEARS IN MY EYES, THE PAIN THAT BREAKS MY SOUL
FOR I DID NOT TAKE THE OATH;I DID NOT RAISE MY HAND.ALL I DID WAS RAISE A CHILD WHO GREW TO BE THAT MAN.
THE BABY THAT I HELD,THE CHILD I WATCHED GROW FILLED MY HEART WITH SO MUCH JOY AS ONLY MOTHERS CAN KNOW THE MEMORIES OF HIS LIFE WILL STAY WITH ME FOREVER. THE CONNECTION OF OUR HEARTS CAN NEVER BE SEVERED.
HE IS NOW A FALLEN HERO AND I A GOLD STAR MOTHER,BECAUSE HE GAVE HIS LIFE. BUT I DID NOT TAKE THE OATH;I DID NOT RAISE MY HAND.
ALL I DID WAS RAISE A BOY WHO GREW TO BE THAT MAN.
It's been almost 5 years now & my pain is still so intense it hurts to breathe. I have found some true friends here. I have been trying to move forward but without Virgil it isn't working. I visit often but somedays I just can't stay online or am away from home. I do notice each visitor Virgil has had while I was away & appreciate everyone remembering him.

Hi Judy,
So sorry to hear about your fall. I hope you will heal quickly and feel better again. Take care of yourself and don't do anything you aren't supposed to! (like I would).

Hi Judy
So glad there are no broken bones. Going to the mountains should help you to feel better soon. No more peaceful place in the world. Have a great vacation and be careful and no more falls. Hugs Delita

Hi Judy
I am so sorry to hear about your fall. Hope they find it is something minor. In 2001 my son was in a bike race in Philadelphia so I went back to watch. One evening around 7pm I was walking to one of the races and fell flat on my hand/arm. It hurt a bit but I was thousands of miles from home and on vacation. When the race week end was over I drove up to Salem Mass for the next week. My arm/hand was hurting but I was on vacation. When i finally got home i went to the Dr. and I had a broken arm and hand. I was in a cast for 8 weeks. Its no fun.Take care and keep us updated..

Thoughts and Prayers
So sorry to hear of your fall. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
May the Lord grant you a quick recovery and may the doctors find out what is causing you to be dizzy. Hopefully it is only something very minor.

Take care,
Maggie

SORRY
Hi Judy
So sorry about your fall. This past year or so I have taken some falls and they are no fun. I'm glad no bones where broken. Take it easy and try to find out why you are falling.
