RE: Halsted Burial Ground
Be safe! If you by any chance see a grave for Caleb Pierce and Hannah Halstead Pierce, let me know. I'm still searching for their burial in Westchester County. Apparently my great grandmother, Isabella Pierce Pugsley spent years trying to locate them and I can understand her frustration. They were quakers and I wonder if they didn't want a stone.

Hi Pat,

I was just thrilled to see the wonderful pic of William and May's stone - I can never thank you enough!!!! It was a wonderful Xmas surprise! I am so grateful Pat, I appreciate your time and effort. Also the special treat, you made a memorial for May and transferred it to me. How thoughtful - thank you ever so kindly. Warm wishes to you and yours for the Happiest of Holidays! -MaryAlice

Tuttle Family
Hi Pat,
My name is Robert Bick, I just entered a new name, William Maynard Tuttle, to this cemetery. His death Cert. says he is buried at Cedar Hill. I'm wondering if you know someone that could find out if his daughter, Mary Catharine ( Tuttle ) Roberts, Death date unknown, and her husband, John Roberts, born about 1850,in Canada. Died March 2, 1894 in Cortlandt, are in Cedar Hill. John's death cert. says he was buried in Montrose.
William Tuttle's son, William Riley Tuttle is also buried in Cedar Hill. I would be grateful for any information you could give me.
Thank you,

Madam Restell
I left you a lengthy SAG bio for Ann (Madam Restell) Lohman (Find A Grave Memorial #27175902). Once you read it, I think you will agree that she should be deemed "Famous" for Find A Grave purposes. I suggest you submit her for that status. Gary

RE: Pierces at Chappaqua
Hi Pat,
I was just checking my wall messages and hope I responded to your message about adding more Pierce memorials. I will definitely check it out. My 4th great grandparents and 5th great grandparents (Pierces) are still an unknown burial out in Westchester County but I hope someday their burial sites will turn up. My great grandmother, Isabella Pierce Foshay, had no luck finding them which I discovered in her notes. Being Quakers, I gather some Quakers preferred a blank stone so who knows if that is the case. I am ever grateful for you and others who have diligently spent the time visiting and documenting graves.

Thanks for responding. So still up in the air about her. Guess I will need to make a few phone calls to verify if she is my Anna.
