"Freedom is not Free"|
I am honored to create memorials for our WII, Korean, and Vietnam war dead.

16 Armored Divisions (7/16 completed)
4 Airborne Divisions (4/4 completed)
1 Cavalry Division (1/1 completed)
1 Mountain Division (1/1 completed)
6 Marine Divisions (6/6 completed)
The Cost of Freedom:

WW2 US Army Battle Deaths: 291,557
WW2 US Marine Corps Battle Deaths: 19,733
US Navy Battle Deaths: 36,950
Korean War US Army Battle Casualties: 29,856
Korean War US Marine Corps Battle Casualties: 4,509
Korean War US Navy Battle Casualties: 657
Korean War US Air Force Battle Casualties: 4,509
Vietnam War US Army Battle Casualties: 38,224
Vietnam War US Marine Corps Battle Casualties: 14,844
Vietnam War US Navy Battle Casualties: 2,566
Vietnam War US Air Force Battle Casualties: 2,586
Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz:
"They fought together as brothers in arms; they died together and now they sleep side by side...To them, we have a solemn obligation — the obligation to ensure that their sacrifice will help make this a better and safer world in which to live."
In 2013 I completed a five year project traveling to Hawaii annually from the mainland to photograph headstones for all of our WW2 dead at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl) in Honolulu. I have added over 10,000 photos to memorials at the cemetery. Prior to 2008, few of the memorials had a headstone photo.

I have a question regarding the memorial you have created for PFC Karl Bradney of Ohio. I would very much like to get in contact with you but I am not sure of how to do so other than leaving this public message. If you get a chance shoot me an email at "Delbert1923@hotmail.com"
|Leafraker||Thanks for the transfer|
I appreciate you transferring the memorial page of Pvt Julius A Pohl to me.
Thanks for creating a memorial page for many of America's veterans. Each one is a true hero and needs to be treated with the respect you are providing. Thanks again.

Glad to supply the photo of Sam Napolitano - recently found behind another picture in the family. B-T-W, no one in the family has a clue where the military came up with "Salvotore C." His name, like his deceased elder sibling was "Sabato", but the parents and his 9 siblings called him by his Americanized name of "Sammy". Other children of Italian parents, that we know were also changed when entering the military. The "C" as middle initial was perhaps added for his mother's maiden name of Castaldo. His body was removed from Normandy in 1949 and he was buried next to his mother.

You have a request at Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis. This cemetery is quite large and without a plot location it is near impossible to just stumble upon a requested grave.
I am happy to try to fulfill your request though if you will contact the office and ask for the plot location.
Just let me know, or post the plot on the memorial and I will try to fulfill it in the near future
The office can be reached at (901) 767-8930

Thank you for your email and your commitment to remembering our veterans.
It has taken quite a bit of research and the help of some very brave Veterans, but I was finally able to put together my Uncle's time serving in WWII.

You are so very welcome.
I have a special place in my heart for all servicemen and women who die in the line of duty, especially softened by those who have died during war.
may you have a blessed new year.

Thanks Jeff, I appreciate all the memorials you have added. I photographed the entire veteran's section of Maplewood Cemetery this past week. Over time I will be adding the memorials and headstone photos. This is part of my multi-year project to photograph every headstone in Maplewood Cemetery (over 15,000 burials and counting).
I will try to get a photo of the area once more of the snow has melted.
