Bio Photo "Freedom is not Free"

I am honored to create memorials for our WW2, Korea, and Vietnam war dead.

Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz:
"They fought together as brothers in arms; they died together and now they sleep side by side...To them, we have a solemn obligation the obligation to ensure that their sacrifice will help make this a better and safer world in which to live."

*************************

I have recently completed a five year project traveling to Hawaii annually from the mainland to photograph headstones for all of our WW2 dead at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl) in Honolulu. I have added over 10,000 photos to memorials at the cemetery. Prior to 2008, few of the memorials had headstone photos added and I made it a commitment to travel their annually to finish this project which I completed in 2013.

St Michael's Cemetery in Sherbrooke
You have one or more memorials listed in the cemetery named above, but the actual listing for that cemetery is St Michel. You should move your memorials to that cemetery as St Michael's is really a duplicate.

My uncle is buried at Henri-Chappelle in Belgium. He was 82nd Airborne, 505th PIR. His grave is on FindaGrave but I don't know how to link him to the virtual cemetery for 82 Airborne!

He died DOW on Jan 8 1944. He was born in 1925.

Hi Jeff,
Great to see a photo of my ancestor. Shot down in 1944 & remains found in 1998. I have just added his only son to Find A Grave, passed in 2010.
Thanks again

You are most welcome Jeff. Check back with Fellowship over the next few days, I took photos of all the Self markers and will be adding them as I get time. David Moore

RE: Thank you!
Thank you for your very kind comments and for the significant work you did at Punchbowl and elsewhere. Because of volunteers like you, Find A Grave has truly become a resource and, most importantly, a means to honor those who have preceded us. David.
