Bio Photo Happy New Year to all who work toward the mission of finding the resting place and creating memorials of others on FAG. Have a blessed and safe holiday season.

Please allow 30 days for me to complete edits you send to me.

NEW EDIT SYSTEM: Go to your profile page and at the top is a tab called EDITS. There you will find the edits/additions that others have sent to you. There is a drop down box where you can choose to view all edits sent to you and all edits you have sent to others. You should check that tab each time you log on.
This is supposed to be a faster way to do all of the edits at once.

It is intentional that survivors are not listed on the page. See FAG's FAQ page for the guidelines about listing living people.

Please mind your manners and leave a polite message below. Mean or rude people are ignored. Please treat me with the consideration and politeness that you would want for yourself.

Sometimes I check info provided in Edits by others. I try to confirm info that is submitted before I make the changes. If I am unable to do so, I may ask you to provide a source document to prove the changes you want me to make. This is done so I don't keep going back and forth changing details on someone's say so. When I ask for a source, I am looking for a marriage record, bible record, census, or other official document. My goal is to post accurate information on Find A Grave.

Thank you so much to all of the contributors who have helped me over the years. I'm very grateful.

RE: Jerry Mallett
Jerry is already linked to his mother. Betty Mallett. Betty was my husbands first cousin.

RE: Clara I. Simmons Woodward
That's fine if you want to do that. You could also quote some of what I wrote on Stephen Simmons' page, Clara's father. The marriage dates tell who was his wife at the time Clara was born. Thanks for your help in all this!

Marion Mary (Brazel) Downey.
I just want to thank you for posting information on my aunt and where she is buried, as I live in Canada and have not been able to go myself to see her grave, would it be possible to have a picture of here grave stone on this site? That way I can add it to the family tree. Thank you.

Clara I. Simmons Woodward
I just sent you an edit to link Clara to her parents, and they're not obvious. Clara was a daughter from her father's first marriage, but her mother Nancy Cowan Simmons died when she was very small. She was brought up by her stepmother Hester Jones Simmons, and that is who is mentioned in Clara's obituary as her mother. She wasn't though. Two of her stepbrothers, Oscar Louis and Stephen Elmer, were similarly named in her obituary as brothers. If you look at what is on my memorials for Clara's parents, I think there is sufficient evidence/explanation there to show that they were indeed her parents, otherwise I can point you to some records. These people are all relatives, and I have researched them.

Hi Grave Whisperer,

I'd like to know if I could have your permission to include the three photos from n. 86397342, Frank and Ida McDonald, in a family history report I'm preparing.

Thank you!

RE: Harlan/Pauley Cemetery office??
The sexton for the Harlan Cemetery (which is really in Cameron, not Turney) is Clay Cornaman (?). His number is 816-617-3286. Hope that helps.

RE: Lewis Crawford at Lovelace
Absolutely no office, just the church. Your best bet is to call the genealogy library here. It is the T. Elmer Cox Historical & Genealogy Library. Phone: 423-638-9866. They are not open normal hours. They are closed Sun., Mon., Tues. Wed & Thurs 10-4, Fri 10-5, and Sat. 10-2. We are probably an hour earlier than you are there since we are on EST. They have cemetery records.

John Mooney at Westview
I see your request for a photo on findagrave for Westview Cemetery. I am familiar with that cemetery and would be happy to look for you. Would you please call the cemetery office at 404-755-6611 to find out the section and lot numbers for your request? The office is reluctant to give me that information and in fact has threatened to charge me for it. They do however give it easily to relatives. The cemetery is massive and that section/lot information will help me narrow the search.

RE: Ora McMullen Oakwood Cemetery
You are so kind. You absolutely didn't waste my time. I've documented Oakwood, so I have a binder of the marked graves....and a map.
Robert has entered the funeral home records on to Find a Grave, so your Ora is buried there. There just isn't a stone and the original maps are unclear as to specific locations of most burials.
I will keep an eye open for any other information that I may run across.
