Born March 10, 1940 in Hogansville, Troup County, Georgia to Herman Hanson Mattingly and Mary Lee Oma Crowe and the second eldest of seven children to Herman and six to Mary.|
My primary genealogical interests include Mattingly and Crow/e and connecting lines. I am descended from Cezar Mattingly but research all of the Mattingly name. From the Crow side, I am descended from James Crow (1713) and his second wife, Grace Denson.
If you see a memorial created by me and the individual concerned is of your immediate line, but not of mine, I am happy to transfer that memorial to you in accordance with Findagrave rules.

Carl Egard (Peck) Burkhead is my uncle, my mother's brother. Will you please transfer his memorial to me?
|Kathy Phelan||RE: M. L. Abell and Mark Thomas|
Thanks for the response. I have a family connection with the Abell/Spalding families.
After spending several days with these families I figured everyone in Marion Co., KY was related. I never saw so many instances where Spaldings married Abells or both married just about everyone else.
Of course, my connection is the one I can't seem to find - at least not all of them. My great aunt, Elnora Spalding married William Phelan. It has taken me years to find out where "Nora" was buried. I still have no real proof although I have her obit and it says she is buried in Calvary Cemetery in Macon Co.,IL.
Her parents were Clement and Alice Abell Spalding. Alice, I found in Holy Name of Mary (with thousands of others) and I believe Clement may be there as well.
What a massive family!!
Those who documented all these families are to commended.

Thanks. My brother-in-law and sister-in-law are related to the Crowe's through the Williams side. Robert Thomas Williams is their great uncle.
|Jeannie Albers Lincoln||Marion F. Williams|
Marion F. Williams 64553161 was my uncle. He was married to my mom's sister. I put his parents on Find A Grave a while back. Could you please link him to them. They are: George F. Williams 117870642
and Norma Grimmeissen Williams 117870995.
If you don't mind transferring his memorial to me, it would be greatly appreciated. thanks a lot!

Hi! I just photographed all of the gravestones at the Vallandingham Family Cemetery and was wondering... You created the memorial for Dorothy Hope Vallandingham Mattingly (118813480) but the name on her marker is "Milford." I thought I'd ask before sending an edit request in case you knew more details about her family history.
