August 2013-Just got back from a cross country road trip with hubby and my big dog from OH to Leadville, CO. We stopped all along the way to research and photograph cemeteries. We had a wonderful time and saw great places. I was able to track down the 'hill' that my cousin's mine is located on and see many buildings still standing that my family members lived or worked in. All in all, one of the best trips we have had. We took over 1000 pictures and placing them here for all to enjoy. We will be going back out there in the future.|

Thanks Helen - looking forward to your finds! I know they will be right on!
|CL Hileman||SMITH (SMYTH : )|
Hope all is well in your corner of the world!
Was wondering if you have ever run across (conclusive) information regarding John Smith (Smyth - the other Smith family you have researched LOL!) His son Josiah b. abt 1780 Fincastle Co., VA Territory (now KY) d. 3 Feb 1852 Capuchine, Scott Co., TN m. Eliz. Todd. Josiah's father eludes me and I know what an expert on this lineage you are!
My mom is the granddaughter of Reverend Geo. E. Baker/Emily "Emma" Smith of Jellico - daughter of AJ Smith, niece of Reverend Thomas Moble Smith and born in Jellico 1921. She will be 92 this month and I was hoping to have as much info back to John Smith as I could to complete her tree. I trust your information, it has proven out over the years and hope you may have saved info on John! Would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks so much.

Helen, I received a photo request from a fellow member of Find-A-Grave and when I wen to the cemetery site, I did not find a map nor a location. I live within 4 miles of Holly Springs, NC and have done some additional detective work in an attempt to find the location. So far I have come up empty. Can you give me any clues or information that may help.

My grandparents are Everett and Clydie (Vaughan) Henderson. GGrandfather is Alfred H. Henderson. I am looking for ANY information on this side of the family. I find census for 1910 for Everett and Clydie with sons Charles and Robert, but then nothing in the 1920 census. They had a daughter, Addie Ruth, in 1911 & she died 1929. I have been told that Everett died at a prison. Not sure if as a guard or inmate, probably around 1920 or so and that Clydie died around about the same time but not sure about that. I just know I can not find any information concerning any of them after 1910 census until the oldest son, Charles, married in early 1920 in Dallas, Texas. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just wanted to stop by and say hello AND thank you for all your research over the years - on the Smith lineage, both yours and mine.. it has been a great help in connecting some of the dots! LOL!

I have a question for you regarding the bio information on the memorial for John C Ford. If this is who I am looking for, he would be my ggg grandfather. Do you have any other information that would allow me to confirm that he is the same person I am looking for? I could definitely tie him to me if you can confirm he and Ann had a child named Daniel born about 1845. Thanks.
