Bio and Links
Bio Photo i always enjoyed roaming the old cemeteries in East Texas where i was raised. And i guess it just stuck with me as i got older. When i started working on my family tree last year the love of cemeteries was renewed. After finding Find a Grave, i realized i wasn't alone. i love doing photo requests and most the of the local cemeteries know me by name. i also will do photo requests for surrounding counties (ie: moore, hutchinson, roberts, carson, gray, armstrong, deaf smith, randall, potter, donley, collingsworth, wheeler, oldham, swisher, & briscoe. if you have trouble getting requests out of East Texas, i visit there about 3 times a year. The counties i visit in that area are gregg, smith, upshur, harrison, marion, and henderson. Just give me a shout and i would be glad to help out anyway possible.

Photo permission
Hello Melissa,
In going through my family tree, I see that I have used your photo of Memorial Park Cemetery, Amarillo for several people on my tree. I hope you have no problem with that--if so, please let me know and I will remove it; otherwise, I will attribute it to you. Thanks very much, Gwen

Hi Melissa, I'm sorry. I meant to make another comment last night but I posted too soon. Anyway, I wanted to tell you that I am going back to Midway Cemetery this fall and I wll try to get a better picture of Jessie's headstone. My parents, grandparents, great- grandparents and other relatives are buried there - mostly Hiltons. But my paternal great grandmother was married to a McCoy at one time. That's why I took pictures of the McCoys buried there. I live in Bay City, Tx - about 200 hundred miles from there.

I was wondering if I could get permission to use your picture of the above cemetery for my tree.

Thanks, Beth

RE: Thomas Keener
Thanx so much Melissa for the reply...That part I had no idea about....I'm in contact with Frank's son and grandson....his grandson is my 2 youngest godchildren's father, so I can get all the info if necessary, but thank you so much for the offer of the phone number.
I'll have to find out more about the marriage information and see what's what.

Dear Melissa,
Thank you very much for the beautiful token you left for my mom, Ingrid Elisabeth Meinikat. You were very right, she was indeed an awesome mother, whom I miss more than words can tell, but that is also my motor that makes me go on, trying to live up to what she would expect me to. Thanks again, xxx Edda

RE: Smith Grave sad. She's buried in the plot of her 2nd husband, Marvin Smith. It sounded like a plot that was purchased when he was married to his 1st wife. Ella was killed in a head-on collision car crash. Marvin was driving, but survived the crash. I guess I was hoping her name was at least added to the headstone, which may have been in place since the time of Marvin's 1st wife's death. This is how I interpreted the transcription entry on usgwarchives, at least...

Smith Ella 7-Jun 1875 21-Aug
1947 2 31
Smith Marvin 7-Jun 1875 21-Aug
1947 2 31
12 Father
Smith Mrs Marvin 27-Jul 1877 11-Dec
1931 2 31
12 Mother

They only recorded these three. :-/

I thank you so, so much for taking the time and effort to look for her though. It means so much to me. I truly appreciate your care. :)
