I was born in 1946 in the small village of Farran's Point, Ontario, located along the St. Lawrence River in the County of Stormont. In 1958 several villages (including Farran's Point) and 3 islands were flooded (St. Lawrence Seaway Power Project).|
I've been researching the history of my family for 13 years and stumbled on this website in 2012. A wonderful discovery.

Hi Joan! Since I'm not a descendant, I will be happy to turn over management of Mary's memorial to you. I've also added the link to her father's memorial.

I'm not sure how I am related to George G Barclay. I only know I am related to the Barkley's in that area.
I know you asked only for Elizabeth V (Donnelly) Barclay, not her husband also. Although, I don't want to split them up. So, I transferred them both to you.
I'm looking forward to the information you will add to them.

That is very sad, and these things are so hard to understand...but I'm glad the photos helped you find him.
If you would like any of the Renwick memorials transferred to your care, just let me know.

Photo posted. There were no memorials for the others on the same headstone, and I needed to use the front of the stone to show his surname, so I went ahead and made memorials for the others. If you want any or all transferred to you, just let me know.
Also..looks like you have made two memorials for his sister Betty--one with surname Forward, the other with surname Foley.

You are very welcome. I also added Robert Currie who I believe is James' father. The picture and memorial is there if you want to see it.

Would you like me to transfer management of their memorials to you?
|BJ Brewer||RE: Orville Clarence Sheets|
I just added the information you gave me and then some. Have a great day!
I would add the cemetery by the name it went by and add all the people that are buried there.
on the opening page of the cemetery I would tell how it was flooded and why.
it's the only way these people will be remembered.
Your question is very interesting. In my area, we also had a power company flood part of the countryside to build a "steam station"---and more recently another area was flooded to build a dam for more water resources. So I know what you might be up against.
Do you know if the graves were moved to another location?? I believe here that happens whenever roads, etc. are built.
But when you are adding an entry, there is a section you can click on in the "Burial" area. I'd click on "other"--then "choose from this list" and scroll down to "recent death, location of body unknown". Click on that, and it will take you to a blank box where you add your explanation of where those people are.
I add unknowns for many different reasons, but I add whatever I do know about them.
Hope I've helped.
