I am a photo enthusiast. I love to work in cemeteries due to the shapes, textures, and history they provide.|
I recently became aware of FindAGrave.com when I began building my family tree. I have several photos that I have taken in previous years that I will be contributing here, but now that I know about this site I will actually be making a more concerted effort to capture images for this site. It's the least I can do. The majority of my ancestors are buried on the east coast, and I live in Oregon. Via FindAGrave I was able to actually see their final resting places. If I can help do that for someone else that would be wonderful.

|Nathan Haines||Dale Requa Davis|
You put in a request for pictures of Dale Requa Davis' gravestone in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery here in Portland, OR.
He is buried next to his wife Ruth Grace Davis, 7-17-26 to 1-19-1999.
Nobody has added her to Find A Grave yet. Do you want to do that or do you want me to? If you make her page will you put in a request for pictures of her grave too?
Dale's Find A Grave #= 143224594
I found graves for a Wiliam Jr and William Sr. with his spouse Mary.
Along side of William Jr was a grave for Marilyn Rasmussen Poehler and a Frank E. Poehler, married 1989. This appeared that she could have been married first to Wlliam Jr. and last to Frank.
Thanks for the info!

Anicee, Thanks very much for the nice picture of their crypt.
|Nancy C.||Mary Ann's maiden name|
I have also found Mary Ann's surname listed as Hershman on her daughter Anna Maria Cochran Wooley's death certficate at Family Search.
Whether that would be her maiden name would be a question for the Washington County Register of Deeds office. Maybe they could answer.

|Art ||Permission to Use Simpson Photo|
Dear Ms. Cochran,
I am writing to seek your permission for a one-time use of your photograph of Samuel L. Simpson's gravestone, which I found on this website.
I am writing a 1500 word article on about mining in Oregon for an historical western magazine. I would greatly appreciate your assistance. If the article is accepted I would like to send you a copy. Thank you.

Please, Please, Please forgive my attitude. I have the flu and wish to die, LOL! Actually, the reason I asked is usually because the spouse that hasn't died might've. This is the biggest problem with non verbal communication and it wouldn't have been the first time that I didn't see the change staring me in the face.

Hey There! I can't figure out why you added the same photo for this memorial? What am I missing that has changed?
|Nancy C.||Maiden Name|
Mary Cochran's maiden name was initially Boise in my family tree. However, since my tree was done, Ancestry has provided Iowa death records that show her father was Michael Hershman.
