I went over the Greenfield Cemetery records with the cemetery staff ahd found out that Luther Smith had no middle name. The name that was listed under C was for Captain, which may have been a naval or military rank. Additionally, Luther was buried in an unknown Cemetery in Freeport on July 28, 1887 and moved and reburied in Greenfield Cemetery on July 30, 1887. Sorry I couldn't find out anything more.
