I live in DC and can do photo requests for the metro DC area, provided the cemetery is easily accessible.

I enjoy reading old newspapers (Library of Congress website) and trying to match the stories and articles to the memorials here on F-A-G. I have found the wedding announcement for John Graham and Marguerite Field in the Washington Times of 11/2/1916.

It sounds like quite an affair!

I am a Civil War buff, and am working on a project to identify the last resting places of many of our Civil War Soldiers that had roots/ties to Vermont, to post on the Vermont Civil War site. (
May I use the Monument photo that you contributed to Gen Churchill's Find A Grave Memorial page, and others, if there are others by you for this purpose?

You will receive proper credit for this.
Thank you for your consideration.

RE: Rotation
Hi Ray,
I know! Annoying, isn't it?!

I've tried a few times to reorient these photos and every time I do, they look fine when they open on the computer, and rotate back when I upload them! Tried resaving them, then rotating them and resaving again to no avail.

I'll give it one more shot and try opening them in photoshop, making a change, and then saving as a new photo and see if that works. If I had taken these with my phone, there is an easy fix that I've been sent by several helpful folks. However, I didn't take them with a phone, I used a digital camera and no one seems to have a fix for that yet lol!

As with all my photos, you are welcome to download the photo and rotate it yourself, as well as post it on ancestry or whatever. But I'll see what I can do.

And thanks for the compliments!!
Have a great day!!

Henry/Ray Burt Memorial #35939810
Hi Ray,

Nice to "meet" you. This photo was put up by Angie Robinson. Angie has posted thousands of photos and is very reputable. However, this one is a little tricky. The caption, which you can't read unless you click on the picture, states that Henry C is buried behind and to the right of Richard. She is generally very accurate and I would trust her on this one. So I suggest that her caption should be in the notes. I'll copy/paste it and credit her for the data. What do you think?

Thanks for the "heads up"; I should have caught that from her parents' last name.
