Always been interested in genealogy since my parents split when I was 2. Never knew much on my dads side because of it. Really got interested after the birth of my two kids though. It has helped me get back in contact with my dad family. The Jahn's came from somewhere in Prussia and ended up in Oquawka, Il. Later then moved to Keokuk County, Iowa, then Osceola County, Iowa and last Minnesota.|
Any tombstone photo's I have added can be used without asking for permission.

|William Tellin||RE: Thanks|
The story on the Gumm head stone is Abby always hit the stone while doing field work. He finally dug it up which as you can see was a big job. Pulled the stone to the farm yard and told Maxine that this will be my tombstone. When he was have in put in the cemetery some of the Church Fathers objected but Abby won out. It always has caused a What the heck! any way I have always liked it Thanks Bill Tellin
Just running across this website, since I love it so much, and just wondered if you by chance are any relation to the Neihart family?

|BrideyLight||RE: Glenn Gordon Canaday|
Hi again Jeff: I have posted your 9/26 discoveries on Glenn's memorial for the benefit of other family members. Thanks again for your research on Audre! Kind regards, BL
|BrideyLight||Polk, Johnson, Willard, Mellinger!|
Welp, you've got quite a few trails to follow there, Jeff! Nice going on the tracking Audre's history! Kind regards, BL
|BrideyLight||RE: Glenn G Cadaway|
Dear Jeff: When Audre married Glenn, what was her surname on the marriage license which you found from Nevada? Was it the same surname as the children listed in Glenn's obituary? It is also possible that the children listed in Glenn's obituary were Audre's from more than one marriage back in time. Good luck in your search for Audre's relatives! Kind regrads, BL

|BrideyLight||RE: Glenn G Cadaway|
Dear Jeff Jahn: Your message to me on my message board: "Glenn G Cadaway
Glenn G Cadaway Find A Grave Memorial# 125781055, do you have any other info on is wife named Audre?" The memorial I created and maintain is for Corp. Glenn Gordon Canaday, not 'Cadaway.' If you were seeking Corp. Glenn Gordon Canaday, then the only information I have is what is posted on his memorial. Note that he passed away in 1977, so his wife Audre (he may have had more wives than two) is probably not living today. Are you family of Corp. Canaday? Kind regards, BL
