Bio

I've always been interested in cemetery art, and think FAG is a wonderful way to share photographs I've taken over the years. The concept of volunteers helping families in search of loved ones is one I can easily support.

If I have created a memorial for a member of your immediate family and you would like me to transfer it to you, just send me a message. If the memorial is for one of my immediate family members. . .hello, cuz - we probably have a lot to talk about.

If I have photographed your family member's grave, and you want to use the photo for your own genealogy records or online family tree website, you DO NOT have to ask my permission. Just right click and copy the photo to your own computer. If you want a larger photo, please e-mail me, as I use a batch resizer to make photos smaller for posting on FAG, pursuant to the website's requirements. You may wish to take a screenshot of my profile page if you are using one of my photos in order to prove that you have my written permission to freely use the photo for non-commercial purposes.

There seems to be some controversy over "written permission" on photographs that appears in the FAG forums but not here on the main site that says you MUST have written permission to use a photo from the photographer. Please consider the foregoing paragraph in my bio your written permission to use my photos. You might want to copy and paste it into some document that you keep forever and pass down to your descendants...

Please note that I do not place the text of recent obits on records to avoid publishing the names of living people on the internet. Yes, I know if the obituary was searchable that their names are out there, but not by me...And if you want an obituary in the bio field of the record, when you send your SAC, please state in writing that you own the copyright to the obituary. If you do not hold the copyright to the obituary, I am happy to add your original biography to the record, as long as the names of living people are omitted.

Some family surnames I am researching include:
Ashmore, Balding, Bowden, Burris, Callaway, Chapin, Chronister, Crites, Duvall, Fairweather, Grooms, Herrington, Lensing, McBrayer, Meek, Parrish, Pettit, Shinn, Strickland, Toomey, Webb, Wharton, Williams, Wingfield and Yeager.

Surnames I research for other families include Barber, Buck, Clark, Engelmohr, Floyd, Gunn, Henrichs, Letterman, Massengale, Owen, Reed, Roach, Southern, Schmiedeskamp, Siebert, Taylor, and Turney.
