Hi everyone from Youngstown Ohio!!|
Pictured is my baby who is now 16, he was so proud that day to bring me the flowers he found. I am also blessed to have an 18 year old daughter whom I am also very proud of.
In our spare time my husband and I enjoy taking rides and will sometimes take a spin through a cemetery that we come across. It always fascinates me to see the beautiful statuary and wonder about times past.
I love this site for having another way to keep memories alive and to visit and pay respects to loved ones.... and bring them flowers, until that day when we meet again.

Thank you for your entry on this site which I accidentally came across after a Net search.
The brother of Elizabeth Curlett nee Ernest Kirchler of Detroit was in all likelihood a brother to Johann Heinrich Kirchler, who jumped ship from a German gunship, the Bussaid, in Sydney Harbour in 1896, and settled thereafter in Australia breeding numerous descendants (the brother Johnann Kirchler you say was "left behind in Germany"). The Australian family at the time, Ernest Kirchler head of household and one of about 8 children of Johann who jumped ship, (named after his uncle) kept up intermittent correspondence with their American relatives in Detroit during the war years (World War II). The Death Certificate for Johann Heinrich Kirchler states that he was born to a Johann Heinrich Kirchler, weaver master and his wife Ottilea Von Struck in about 1872, and that he was born in "Theringwald" (sic)(in all likelihood Thuringer Wald). Please contact me if you are still into family history as this additional information has been quite enlightening.
Now all I need is the current email for a Lisa who left a message on Ancestry.com in 2002 and is a great grandchild of the Detroit Ernest Kirchler.
