I am researching the names-Ives, Van Valkenburg, Wright, Babcock, Brush, Conklin, Kutz. Many of these people are from the East coast, New York, Connecticut, Massachuesetts, New Jersey. The Kutz's came from Germany in 1891 by way of Baltimore, MD.

Van Valkenburgh Family Hi- Noted with interest your search for VVs as well as Brush and Conklin. There was a lady in Madison, AL, who was related to all of these. Her maiden name was Higgins. Her family came from the Catskills. He VV ancestor was located in Brooklyn, NY. The daughter married a Brush;Pappa VV didn't approve so he disowned her. (Her name was maybe Pheobe Van Valkenburgh Brush.) (About the 1880s or 90s.?) The Conklin connection was NOT through the NY senator. The Higgins was a boat pilot in NY harbor who kept running into other boats! The lady was named Marian Pagano. Sadly she died several years ago. However, her brother was then still living at Madison. He'd be quite elderly now if he's living. Let me know if this is helpful to you. Perhaps we could locate his daughter. +Nancy
