I love the history, the architecture, the beauty, and mostly the serenity of a cemetery, especially Hollywood Forever where I've been visiting for 30 years. I enjoy fulfilling photo requests at this cemetery the most.|
Memorials are gladly transferred to family - save for my own family members.
Always feel free to post a Public Message for me.
I've been seeing more and more requests for photos without any grave location information. Cemetery offices are much more likely to cheerfully provide family members with grave locations than photo volunteers, especially those of us they see often. We don't want to wear out our welcome, so to speak, and appreciate your calling or emailing the cemetery in advance to get the grave location. Hollywood Forever's phone number is 323-469-1181 and their email address is firstname.lastname@example.org. Please help us help you!

Thank you for the photos! And I agree with you, Hollywood Forever is a beautiful place to visit and photograph.

You must like challenges! Don't know how you managed to locate and to capture a close-up photo of Dorothy's nameplate marking her tiny cremains niche near the top of that huge mausoleum. A BIG thank you for persevering. Can see that they got her name right. Now feel comfortable correcting it on her Memorial page. Also appreciate putting the nameplate in perspective with that great interior shot and the tiny yellow marker. Hope you will check back periodically to see what has been added about this 4th cousin, 2X removed. Today Dorothy is a little-known granddaughter of one of the five South Bend (Indiana) Studebaker brothers of automotive renown, but during her lifetime she apparently managed to make her own mark in a man's world.

Thank you so much for your time to take a photo of not only the name plaque of my ancestor, but also of the inside of the mausoleum and the front entrance. This is so nice to have for my Family Tree 'books'. Thank you for help making it 'complete'.

The three memorials in St. Peters Cemetery are all transferred to you. Take care!

Jim: Are you related to this Davis family? If so, please contact me. I have written a book based on the civil war letters of her husband's father and mother, Andrew and Sarah Davis. More importantly, I am looking for descendants of Hedwig's husband, Ferman Enis Davis (see Pierce Brothers Valhalla Cemetery), and his second wife, Thelma, who had one child Charles.

Jim, thanks very much for taking the nice photo of May Duffy. I would like to use it in my Ancestry.com family tree, if you agree.
