Requesting a transfer through the Edit feature insures that no mistakes are made. I manage too many memorials to research each one. If I find out later that an edit sent to me is not accurate, I may change it. I do not transfer to "Anonymous" nor do I do edits from them, without some explanation of the source of the information.
I love to see the memorials come alive with biographies and family history....and photos of our loved ones. I just LOVE it when I can help someone!!!
I have been researching some of my families since about 1978.
From one of the stones: "As you are now, so once was I, As I am now you soon shall be"
"A person's life was more than the dash between years...." That dash represents your entire life and we need to live it wisely.
From my mother: "Bad deeds and words will follow you all your life and come back to haunt you."
My grandmother went to cemeteries with me, and once said she would like the following to be on her stone: "WE LIVED TOGETHER, WE LOVED TOGETHER AND NOW WE REST TOGETHER". I Just fulfilled that request!!!!
BY WORKING WITH FIND-A-GRAVE WE ARE LEAVING OUR OWN LEGACY FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS. IT IS TRULY A LABOR OF LOVE.
PHOTOS: PLEASE GIVE CREDIT FOR PHOTOS THAT ANYONE HERE ON FIND-A-GRAVE HAS SUBMITTED---IT IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO.
I recorded and submitted the ORIANA CEMETERY, near Peacock, Stonewall Co., Texas in about 1986, which can be found on the internet by doing a search. (It was possibly submitted to interment.net)
The Oriana Cemetery at findagrave is here.
PLEASE DO SEND A MESSAGE TO ME IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS OR SOMETHING NICE TO SAY!

I am not much of a researcher. But I am interested in family history. Right now I am writing my Dad's background story for the Alpena, Arkansas Historical Society. I am to the point where my Grandfather, William M. Wright, known as Martin, moved his family[his wife, Hannah Pettie (Anderson)Wright, my Dad, Orville Andrew Wright, and my Aunt Jewel (Wright) (Mainard)Murphy
( her next to last job was as the Assistant Director of Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock)]to Arkansas. I looked up Grand Father's grave to make sure of the dates...and noticed that two of his brothers are not listed in the family information part. His brother Tom died out in Havasu City, Arizona. But I do not have his bio. information available right now. When Great Grand Father Levi moved his family to Lordsburg from Junction, Texas, another brother, James, and his wife, my Great Aunt Molly, stayed on the ranch back in Junction along the Llano River. That ranch is still in the family and I am in contact with the family genealogy person when time allows. Orville A Wright, Jr.

I noticed you mentioned a book in the Newton Sydney Bilberry bio. Was there a burial book for Oriana Cemetery?

Hi Nancy, I am very interested in the Dawson Family book you've mentioned by Jen Benton. Were you able to find out if it still available? Sina and Melvin are my 3rd great grandparents. I am related by way of their daughter Mary Ann Dawson (Smith). I have the document you sent me last year and I have finally been able to verify some important pieces to add. I have also had my DNA tested and have a LOT "cousins" on Ancestry.
Hope to hear back from you soon.

No worries. His memorial belongs with family. I glad everything is as it should be. :)
Thank you for the info on the duplicates. I deleted them, including the ones you and I entered on the same day.
Regarding the twins - I just wish there had been more info on them. They must have suffered and so, too, the family in its helplessness, watching them die. So very many sad tales.
