I am a 10th generation descendant of Gabriel Baubau (also spelled Beaubeau, Babeau, Baubeau, etc.), who is believed to be the first Bobo immigrant circa 1700. He came from western France to Virginia under the headright system. For more information on the headright system click here. For documentation about Gabriel Baubau and his descendants click here. Though Bobo is an uncommon name, there are thousands of us all over the US. It is absolutely amazing how quickly a family can grow from an original pair. Why, just look at the human family!
PLEASE LEAVE ONLY THANK YOU NOTES ON THIS PAGE!! Send personal notes to email address. Thanks.
Sadly of late it seems that Find A Grave has turned into Find An Obituary. I do not post obits word for word from the newspaper. First of all, out of respect for the living, and second because once the funeral is past it is old news. Yes, I post deceased relations and other pertinent information. I especially dislike scanned obits that are posted as photos of the individual. | |

 | The Pruitt Family Cemetery Ray, You have done something so difficult and time-consuming. I can't thank you enough for your unselfishness. The Pruitt family history you've helped uncover now reaches all the way west to Oregon and has further extended through many Pruitts/individuals into other countries world-wide. For example: an aunt of mine founded and ran 2 orphanages in the Phillipines for nearly 30 years. That is how far those old South Carolina Pruitts have reached, and I thank you heartily! Wish there was some way to tell you how sacred these photos will be to us, as weird as that would sound to some, as we appreciate what they did to bring us so far. A strong and large family of ministers, shop-keepers, hotel-proprietors, soldiers, and farmers/ranchers began where you were taking those pictures, I guess you could say.
Again, so much thanks! | | | Anna Melissa Melendez
 | W A Pruitt Thank you for your work in acquiring the photo for Alexander Pruitt. He was my 6th great grandfather. You did a very good job with the photo.
