Hello Caroline,
The information I used to list these memorials was taken from the North Carolina Death Certificates and some extra research into the Federal Census and possibly the Family Trees on Ancestry.
What an interesting story you have found! In the book, did it give the full name of Ellen Smith? Or her married name? Or her children's names?
Please go to the F.A.G. memorial #65989615 and check the dates and the other information that is listed.
If you can supply some extra info for her memorial and it can be verified...I will add it to her memorial.
