RE: Thanks
Can't find a link with "my" Marshalls although there are lots of familiar family names - Via, Shifflett, etc. Also they come from about the same area - Albemarle Co., VA.

Maybe we will link at some time in the future.

Thanks.

RE: Thanks
Who was your Marshall grandmother? My mother is a Marshall. We may be related.

Crickenberger Family
I noticed that Crickenberger is one of your families of interest. I am trying to tie this family into the Kruckeberg family of Fuhlen Germany. I have spent several days researching the VA line and then I saw your info on Find A Grave. I would really appreciate it if you could share with me GEDCOM file with this family's information in it. I believe that Johannes Kruckeberg (Crickenberger) who was involved in the battle of Trenton, NJ during the revolutionary war is the same one who married Teckla Hockman but I am still struggling to make the connection.

RE: Zollie's burial
Jennifer, thank you so much! The New Hope Methodist Church is listed in New River Notes (http://www.newrivernotes.com/graysoncems/newhopecem.htm). Location: Flatridge/Barton's Crossroads - the New Hope MC Cemetary is near the intersection of Flatridge Rd (rt. 658) and Pine Branch Rd (Rt. 733); GPS Coordinates N36.658661 W81.351288.... The little white frame church still stands (I believe) on a hill but is no longer active; is still used for family and community events. The cemetary is in front of the church.

RE: Gen Thomas J J Christian Sr
"If my memory serves me right there are approximately 2 inscriptions on each of the 4 sides of this monument."

Then on one side must be Gen. Jackson & his wife Mary Anna Morrison. On another side would be their daughter & son-in-law, Julia & William Christian. That means the remaining 2 sides would have the next 2 generations (TJJC Sr & Jr) & 2 other people.

RE: Gen Thomas J J Christian Sr
I meant to say that a photo of the entire stone would be IN ADDITION TO (not instead of) the existing pic of just the inscription. The former would show the page's viewers what the stone looks like, while the latter enables them to read the inscription. The other thing I wanted to know was whether this guy's spouse (his son's mother) is buried next to him. If she is, then I'd like a page to be made for her & grave pics posted, again both a wide shot & an inscription closeup. I hope this clarifies my wishes.

Gen Thomas J J Christian Sr
I notice you posted a grave pic for Gen. Thomas J.J. Christian, Sr. (#7654930), the grandson & namesake of Confederate General T.J. "Stonewall" Jackson. It's a closeup of the inscription, which I appreciate so I can read the name & life dates, but I wonder if you also have a wide shot of the complete stone, in case his spouse (the mother of his son) might be buried next to him. The spouse is not listed yet at F-a-G, so I wonder what her name was. Any further pics you can post, or help you can give, I would appreciate.
