Thank you for your generosity in transferring:
Humphrey Kilby Spencer # 91583497
to my care. I have successfully connected him with parents, wife and 1 of his 12 siblings. As I receive more information, I will add it to Our shared memorial.
With sincerest appreciation,

My father's family is from McDowell and I've been researching them for the last couple of years (to be honest, some of what I've found indicates that the gene pool got kind of shallow at one point
: )). I've been hearing about cemeteries past Doe Hill and into Pendleton County and discovered the Simmons and Leach cemeteries (along with your pictures).
Myself, my cousin and his wife are hoping to determine how we could get access to those cemeteries. I tried to get access from a lady (she lives in Doe Hill, maiden name Botkin) who helps maintain the Simmons Cemetery but I think she was a little leary for whatever reason to give us the key.
Would you be able to help us get connected with someone who could get us in?
The list of folks provided on the website is great but I'm looking for one of both of the John Leach's. The younger John (my great, great gf)was a sibling of the James Leatch (Leach) buried in the Leach graveyard. The other John is the father of James and John and is the first generation here coming from Ireland.
I live in Kingsport, TN but I'm trying to plan a trip up there in July. By the way, my dad is James (Jim), son of French, son of James C. Any help you could provide would be very much appreciated. Thanks, Jim Leach

|Robert Davis Purple Sr.||William Forcum|
Hi - I was looking at the photo you took of the gravestone for William Forcum in Riverview Cemetery, Charlottesville VA. I believe he was married to my aunt Mabel (Smith). I can't read the right side of the stone where her name might be. Do you have a "better" view of this or do you have a record of the names on the stone ?

thank you for helping!! Could you please send me the obit you found? I cannot find it!! But I do appreciate you going out of your way to look for her. you see, she was in Western State since 1956, up until the year before she died. My Uncle Paul, her brother,, would have bought her a marker I am sure but he also passed away the month before her and my father the month after. thank you again, and my email is Buzzcutter1224@aol.com
