My name is Gene Stewart and I live just South of Mt Pleasant, Iowa. I am retired and am on a board for the Salem East Cemetery in Salem, Iowa. My goal is to place all stones in the Salem East Cemetery on Find a Grave. My wife is on the board for the Henry County Pioneer Cemetery Commission. She is not involved with the Find A Grave. I do this because a sister of mine is into Genealogy and has got me hooked into helping her a lot.

I enjoy helping people when I can. I try to only go to cemeteries that are in a small commuting distance unless I have another reason for traveling. If you don't hear right back from me about your request, please be patience, I will try to get back to you. If a cemetery is to far away from my home, I will not be able to take your photo unless we are traveling in that direction for another reason. Thank you for understanding and it is gratifying when you write back and are happy with the outcome. My Great Grandfather and Grandmother are buried in the Si (CY) Hughes Cemetery in Kentucky close to Linchfield, Ky. My Grandfather and Grandmother are buried in Virginia, Illinois Cemetery and my Father and Mother are buried in Salem Iowa in the East Cemetery which is one of the reasons I am on the Board for that Cemetery..
