A people which takes no pride in the noble achievements of remote ancestors will never achieve anything worthy to be remembered with pride by remote descendants.

Hi there - is this person a relative or ancestor of yours? Would you like me to transfer their memorial to you?

You are welcome. I'm sorry I couldn't find her husband. The space next to her was unmarked, so he could be there without a stone. Take care.

Wow, really interesting. He's my estranged great-grandfather who I've always been eager to learn more about. Something happened around WWII that had him cut ties with the rest of my family; I've never figured out exactly what, but either way, I haven't heard many stories about him other than his obituary and a few other bits and pieces, and I don't think I've seen a photo of him before.
If you happen to have any additional information about him (maybe an old photo or something?--I can hope!), I'd be very grateful. Feel free to continue this discussion on email if you'd like, my email address is scottjparkey (at) gmail.com.

I'm curious about the Bell logo flower you left for Jack Ivor Smith (1912-1993). Did you perhaps know him from his Bell days? Or did you just post that after reading his bio?
From a descendant who didn't know him personally.

You are welcome.
Thank you for the information - how incredibly sad. I found her mom's death certificate as well, and saw that she was listed as manic depressive, agitated type...
