What can I say ... I'm a cemetery crawler! I am also a very active genealogist and family history buff. I have grown passionate about FAG and try to keep it as historically accurate as possible.|
Many of my memorials are my family but I have also created a number of memorials for a cemetery close to where I live. I also travel a lot and anytime I am in a cemetery I look for interesting or endangered memorials to document. I especially try to document children. In addition I have recently accepted responsibility for a number of memorials created by Fred King. He created almost 70,000 memorials during the more than 10 years he was an active contributor. Fortunately before he died he transferred most of his memorials to a friend and she is trying to find people to share in their maintenance.
To submit a change or transfer request please click on the "Edit" tab (upper right corner) on the memorial followed by clicking the appropriate change type. If you request a transfer please tell me your relationship. I will consider all non-FAG guideline transfer requests but may not honor them if I don't feel it is in the best interest of the memorial. I will honor transfer requests that meet the FAG guideline requests unless I am also closely related.
PLEASE do not post obituaries to my memorials. See this FAQ concerning obituaries on FAG. If you wish to have them added to the memorial as a bio then please rephrase them redacting all references to living people and submit them to me as an Edit (see above). Also let me know the source of the information and where a complete obituary can be found. I reserve the right to rephrase and redact what you submit.

You're welcome! I think we now have all the people in that lot with surviving markers photographed, but there is still one person [James Cole Hart (1975)] that is on the plot map without a surviving marker.

Hi! This is great news! So glad for this. Thank you for letting me know! Best regards-
|Joel Shore||RE: Cowles|
You're welcome! Technically, they have a perpetual contract, so the cemetery should be willing to put them back up. However, this is far from the first plot with a perpetual contract that we have seen in disrepair!

Thanks for the update on the links for parents and spouses. I didn't know there was a change for it.

Dear Glenda thanks so much for your informative reply. It was very kind of you to let us know. We are just getting started with this web site and finding our way around and your information was very helpful. Thanks again Ed and family

Happy to help; check out their servants Jonas Barnes and Jane Phillips who are buried in the family lot as well.

Yes, there was a name there, however, there was no date of death inscribed. In keeping with Find A Grave policy, I try not to picture a headstone for anyone unless I am sure they are deceased. With identity theft so prevalent, I also try not to ID living spouses of a deceased.

I just put up pictures for those three. Note that you had the wrong year for Horace's death, so I submitted an edit. (It is 1942, not 1922.)
|Joel Shore||RE: Elon Cowles|
Great...I put the photos up on hers. I also took pictures of other people in that SW 1/4 of the lot who don't have memorials. Don't know if you are interested in any of them: Lois A Cowles Candee (1900), Emma J. Harris Cowles (1922), Horace T. Cowles (1942), and Laura M. Cowles (1957).
Your Cowles Family is back home with family again. Enjoy and take good care of them. I'll check back to hopefully see pictures of my buddies.
