Have made the additions for the above and Charles Stevenson. I see her headstone states date of birth as 1904, you have her born Nov 4, 1909. I did not make the change in birth till I hear from you.

RE: Lyle and Francis Baudin and Betty Lou Kroll
Yes, you are right, I'm new to this. Been doing some reading on the Howe Mine and the area. What a beautiful and interesting place.

Lyle and Francis Baudin and Betty Lou Kroll
I found an article printed Feb 22 1939. Spokane Review. page one left side
"Parents, Girl 7, Burned to Death"
"First Tragedy Hits Model Mining Town"
They were killed in a house fire at the Howe Sound mining town. The article also mentioned the accidental shooting death of Lyle's brother a few years earlier. I would put up the article on all of their memorials but I can't figure out how to download it.
Well, mystery solved. So sad, they had only become a family three months earlier.

RE: Lyle and Francis Baudin and Betty Lou Kroll
Great ideas. I will check them out. I suspect Baudin's were going there or were there looking for work. Census said his father worked as a watchman at a mine.
Thanks Doug in Tacoma

RE: Lyle and Francis Baudin and betty Lou Kroll
They were large poor family during the depression. There may have not been an obit. I pretty sure there would have been an article though. I think there was a rail line going to Holden at the time. Maybe that is part of the story . I can't imagine them taking the dangerous boat ride up to Holden in the middle of winter. I suspect the family was looking for work. I wonder if there was a CCC or WPA camp there. Do you know of a local historian? I've contacted a few libraries and museums in the area but haven't received any replies.
Thanks Doug
PS I am reviewing the Spokane papers, don't know the date it might have been was published so it's slow going.

Lyle and Francis Baudin and betty Lou Kroll
Hello, I was given your name by Teresa. I am researching the Baudin Family of Leavenworth WA. They moved there circa 1905-10
Three members died on the same day 2-21 -39 at Holden on lake Chelan. Lyle Baudin his new wife Francis and step daughter Betty Lou Kroll.
They are buried at Leavenworth North Road. I was wondering if you knew what happened to them. I haven't been able to find anything.
No other death dates match theirs at Lev. North Road Cem.
Thanks Doug in Tacoma

Memorials for Pearl and Jack Knepher

I was wondering if you could transfer the memorials for Pearl Florence Henck Knepher (#131513067) and Jack Thomas Knepher (#131513372) to me? They're my grandparents.
