Hi Gayle. James (124507014) is my great grand uncle. If you are not related to him, would you consider transferring him to me?

Thank you for accepting my edits for this memorial.
I just caught several duplicates=from several years ago- all by the same lady- and you had pictures-duplicated on both duplicates. Did you ask her at the time to delete? If so I need to go through admin. I ask her today.
This is of them
You can tell by the numbers that the left one was first-
Some folks hold on to them for dear life.
In that same cemetery-all Harris are the duplicates. I just put Harris in the search- and they all pop up.
I am sending a message to your e-mail listed..hope it won't go automatically to Trash

As a DAR member it was interesting to run across this stone. I think it was marked by the rockford DAR chapter. You asked abt Harmons. Were there any in particular u wanted? I would be happy to do some checking for local information on Fidelia, Betsy, Jehial, or others if u let me know.

Thanks for your message, Gayle, and for taking the time to write.
"Doing cemetery" in Vermont every summer is what keeps me going the rest of the year in Los Angeles. I love the old stones and the history, but as importantly, just being here (I'm in VT now) allows me to drink up enough peace and quiet and GREEN to get me through the hustle and bustle of my work-a-day routine.
All the best,
Gayle, Noticed your connection to John. He is my 9th great grandfather (direct line) via his daughter Sarah. Always nice to meet family.

Please correct name to "Hutto" not Hutton.
where are you getting these obscure bits of info on graves in Woodlawn? ie Father Lincoln....and the grave with the geranium pot..lol
it has been too frigid to tromp the cemeteries in CT...but we went out yesterday and got 9 photo requests here in town...yesterday was the first gorgeous ( "ie cemetery tromping") day in quite some time. mostly sub zero here. but yesterday the grounds in cemetery were actually mushy and muddy on top...

I believe I need your help. I am a direct descendant of that crazy Forbes/Fobes clan dating back to the 1100s in Scotland. Your family became intermingled with my family in the 1800s. In particular, I am looking at the family of Elijah Harmon and Mary (Martha) Lamphier Harmon. Elijah was Nehemiah's son.
If I have my story straight, both Ann Harmon (b:1822) and Orrin Harmon (b:1831) were children of Elijah and Martha Lamphier. If you did already know, Orrin took a trip west with Solomon Forbes and others, in 1853, to look for gold. They departed from Potter's Field, in Kalamazoo County, Michigan. Orrin got extremely sick on that trip and died on Jan 17, 1854. He was buried on the north side of Canyon Creek, that ran near Georgetown, El Dorado County, California. Solomon had stayed with him on a couple occasions to care for him. If you would like a copy of Solomon's journal (diary), let me know, and I will send it to you.
What I really want, if you have any, or if you know of any Harmon family members that might have some... are PICTURES, of the Harmon clan, IN PARTICULAR, Ann Harmon and Loton Forbes, Zilpha Forbes. I believe I found Ann and Zilpha's graves in Hamilton County, Kansas. Trust me, that is a hard feat, when they are unmarked graves.
My last major goal with my family's genealogy is to find a picture of Loton and Ann. I really need to do that.
Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated, and likewise, any help I may be able to provide you, I will gladly do.
