Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been researching my family history for about 20 years. I've taken lots of photos of tombstones, starting back when people I knew thought that was strange. It's amazing to find a whole community of people who think like I do, and who are willing to share.

If I've listed one of your relatives and they're not related to me, just ask and I'll be happy to transfer their care to you.

I also give Find a Grave Staff full permission to transfer any of my Memorials to whomever wants them upon my death. Hopefully this will help eliminate what I call 'Dead Memorials'.

Thomas Taylor
Hi--I was in the Bob Doane cemetery today. I found little Thomas, but only the name was legible, so I could not get dates for you. I also got a photo of the broken base of the stone, which has the parents' initials.

Thank You
I wanted to thank you for adding the photos of the plaque we have by a tree on Ben Butterworth Parkway, Moline, IL, and of my father, Daniel J. Bowden, in his entry on this site. I look forward to doing a little bit of grave hunting this spring, myself, with my young daughter. You can never start them to soon, teaching kids the importance of history and our ancestors! :) Take care and thanks for being so thorough in your work, Casey Bowden

RE: James Henry Green
You are very welcome, although I consider it an honor to do so. My father was a Marine who fought in WWII as well. Best wishes to you.

Thanks
Many thanks for the gravestone photo of my cousin, Lieut Floyd Raymond Drake; I'm not sure that I saw it before now. Nice with the flag beside it!

Rock Island Cemetery
Ms. McKenzie

I'm needing some information. There is a map of the Rock Island Cemetery and at the very top left it shows "Conf. Cem" .... is this where the confederate soldier are buried? My relative is buried in Sec A #1915, there is no picture, but just wanted to have an idea exactly where he is located. The name of the soldier is Joseph L. Parsons.

Thank you for all your time.

James and guilford Courthouse
I stand corrected; As you say, James recovered and served later. I mistakenly assumed he was not serving at the time of the Guilford Courthouse battle.

My mistake.

Info for James Larimore
Hi, I am assisting an applicant to the Sons of the American Revolution and James is his ancestor. Regarding the info shown, James was badly wounded at Briars Creek in 1779, so it is not likely that he fought at Guilford in 1781. The official pension file letter also does not mention Guilford Courthouse. Also I find it unlikely that his death was in Indiana, since he lived in NC and is buried there. Just thought you might want to correct the write up when you have a chance.

Thanks
